Woodsy Tree Scene Ornament
Woodsy Tree Scene Ornament
Other Products: Brilliance Ink (Pearlescent Chocolate), Stickles, Clear Beads, Plastic Ornament, May Arts Ribbon (Natural Burlap String, 1.5" Black Stripe Ribbon), Hot Glue
Instructions: Take your 2 piece plastic ornament and trace the shape onto white cardstock. Use this as the template to create your background. I basically used only the one dark green ink. First I stamped the 2 lighter trees, by stamping off the ink once before stamping it onto the ornament template, thats what makes it look lighter. Then I stamped the darker image in the foreground of my template.
Then I wanted to add shading of the same colour of ink, around the circle. I came in further with my shading at the bottom of the template. The last thing I did, was add Stickles to the branched of the dark tree. Let dry. Cut the circle out. You may need to tweak it slightly for it to fit properly into the ornament. Find and cut out the narrow “Seasons Greetings” sentiment from the Sparkling Poinsettia collection. Cut it out and attach it to the circle using hot glue. I attached it in a slight arc for a little added dimension. I tacked the image in place, into half of the ornament using hot glue. In the other half of the ornament I added the clear beads, then simply put the ornament together.
Add burlap string and a large ribbon bow to the top of the ornament.
