Instructions: The journal is 8 1/4" x 9". Crumple large pieces of tissue paper. Coat the entire binder in Girlie Grunge Art Medium (deco-page adhesive). Pat the crumpled tissue paper onto the adhesive. Adhere the tissue around to the back side of the binder. Let dry. Spray with Distress Stain. Let dry. Coat the entire front and back cover with Burnt Umber paint. Add black paint around all of the edges, and blend. Let dry. Mist again with Distress Stain. Let dry. Using Gold Metallic Lustre, smudge over top of all edges and into the middle to pick up highlights. Let dry.
Cut 2 pieces of the Young at Heart patterned paper that are 7.75x8.75 and adhere to the inside covers. Cut a piece of the map patterned paper that is 5x7, and distress the edges. Mist with Distress Stain. Adhere this and the black tag to the middle of the front cover using 3D Foam Tape. Cut out Arianna Lace in black cardstock, and snip off 2 pieces. Adhere to the map patterned paper. Cut the lattice chipboard into your desired shape. I added colour using the Tarnished Brass Distress Paint. Let dry. Adhere to the middle of the front cover. Add layered tickets to the left hand side of the map patterned paper.
Create a twine wreath and adhere it to the middle of the front cover. Cut out a patterned tag and mist with Distress Stain and ink the edges. Adhere to the middle of the front cover using 3D Foam Squares. Add half a dyed doily to the tag and a burlap string bow. Add the bamboo clothespins to the top right hand corner of the map patterned paper. Add the linen ribbon to the black tag. I took the circle latter stickers and misted them with the Distress Stain Spray, because they started as white. Add the large title to the bottom right hand corner of the binder.
Stamp and die cut 1 set of the large and 1 set of the small Water Lily images using dark brown ink. Add colour to the flowers using Fossilized Amber ink and daubers. Then darken the tips of the petals using Walnut Stain. Stamp and die cut 1 of the leaves from Sunflower Accents using dark brown ink. Add colour using Fern ink and daubers. Shape all of the pieces and assemble the layered flowers. Add beads to the middles using liquid adhesive. Let dry. Adhere the larger flower to the black tag with a few leaves. Adhere the small flower around the tickets, also with a couple of leaves. Add the sentiment sticker above the large tag and a couple of small word stickers to the black tag.
Add the large layered metal embellishment to the large tag, on top of the dyed doily. Also add a few buttons around the design layout.
Wrap lots and lots of burlap string around the spine of the binder, and tying a bow gathering the string near the top, hanging a bauble from the bow. Tie silk ribbon to the inside top ring to hang the key and other metal embellishment from.
Using liquid adhesive add small sections of a brown and gold Prills mixture. Let dry.
Add the journal pages to the binder.
