The Tall and Short of It

Instructions:

Cut a strip of white card 9.25” x 8”, score and fold in half to create a slimline card base. Place the large outer die over the fold and die cut to create a shaped card base. Die cut the large outer die in white card and another in pale green paper from the collection. Adhere these together and adhere to the front of the card base.  Die cut the large ornate die in darker green paper from the collection and adhere this to the card base. Die cut a second decorative die and use the inner “waste” to adhere to the centre of the card inside the decorative diecut.

Die cut the smaller decorative frame using white card, adhere to a green paper from the collection and trim closely to the white die cut, layer onto a white piece of card and trim to give a thin border. Adhere across the front of the card base using foam pads. Die cut the sentiment from the green paper and adhere to the white centre strip, adhere this to fit inside the decorative strip.

Make the leaves: Stamp the leaves x3 onto paper from the collection using northern pine ink, die cut and add additional colour to the edges using a dauber. Place face down into the mold, spritz lightly with water, and run through the die cutting machine to shape.

Make the flower: Stamp 2 large lilies onto flower shaping paper using buttercup ink, colour lightly with buttercup ink and make a stroke line along the centre of each petal using copic Y26. Die cut and colour the reverse of the petals, place face down into the shaping mold, spritz with water and run through the die cutting machine to shape. Add more buttercup ink to edges and add shaping using the flower shaping tools. Adhere 2 sets of 3 petals together, offsetting the petals, to create the flower. Thread 3 petite pollen stamens and 1 assorted bead stamen in the centre of the flower and adhere into place using hot glue.

Make the pink lilies: Stamp x2 large and 1 small petals using rose bud ink onto flower shaping paper. Stroke the ink from the centre of each petal towards the outer edge using a triangle dauber. Die cut, place face down into the shaping mold, spritz with water and run through the die cutting machine to shape. Add additional shape if required using the flower shaping tools. Adhere 2 sets of 3 petals together, offsetting the petals, to create the flower. Thread 3 petite pollen stamens and 1 assorted bead stamen in the centre of the flower and adhere into place using hot glue.

Large pink fillers: Stamp x2 the large spray fillers onto white stamping card using northern pine ink for the leaves and rose bud for the flowers, use the water brush to colour the pink flowers with rose bud ink, diecut. Use the daubers to add shading to the flowers with the rose bud ink and lightly colour the leaves with bamboo leaves ink. Add shape using the flower shaping tools.

Garden lily buds: stamp x2 onto white stamping card using northern pine ink for the stem and leaves and rose bud for the buds. Colour the stem and leaf in bamboo leaves ink. Use the water brush and rose bud ink to colour the buds. Die cut. Add northern pine ink to the edges of the leaves and additional rose bud ink to the tips of the buds. Shape using the flower shaping tools.

Position the leaves and flowers above the sentiment panel and secure with hot glue. Paint over the florals with 3d lacquer and sprinkle lightly with transparent glitter.
