Spread Your Wings

Instructions:

Card size is 3 1/2 x 8 1/2”. Cut white cardstock to 7 x 8 1/2”, score and fold at 3 1/2”. Cut green paper from paper collection sheet, 8B to 3 1/2 x 8 1/2”, using small outline die from HCD2-7399 Florish Companion Frame Die, diecut left side of paper being sure the cutting plate doesn’t cover the right side of the die. This will allow you to reposition the die on the right side of paper, again being sure the cutting plate doesn’t cover the left side. Doing this will give you one long diecut card panel the size of your card base. Use the leafy vine stamp from HCPC-7407 Large Mushroom Cottage stamp set to stamp a background of leafy vines using Emerald ink, stamping off on scrap paper for a softer effect. Ink edges with Leaf Green ink and adhere onto card base using foam adhesive.

Diecut the French Courtyard die onto white cardstock and Luxe Gold cardstock. Layer the gold behind the white to create a golden shadow, use scissors to cut apart two corners. On white cardstock using from the same die set, use a combination of dies to create the center circle. You’ll need the large circle die, sentiment die, and small fleur die. Use the plain large circle die to diecut a background from paper collection. Apply Dries Clear adhesive onto Hydra Sponge, dab randomly over white pieces, sprinkle with Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear, tap off. Adhere corners onto card, then center sentiment circle with foam adhesive.

On white cardstock stamp the mushroom cottage x2, mushroom border and fairy x2 using Sepia ink. Stamp Leafy Vine x2 large poppy and small poppy x2 using Leaf Green ink. Stamp large poppy x2 and small poppy x5 onto pink cardstock using Magenta Hue ink. Finally stamp fairy on vellum using white ink and Bridal Embossing powder, heat set. Diecut using coordinating dies. Use scissors to fussy cut green flower center of poppies for layering.

Use Stack and Store dauber to color the poppies with Magenta Hue ink, leaves with Vivid Chartreuse, Leaf Green and Emerald inks. On the remaining images use Carnation Red, Sunflower, Tea Rose, Sepia, Manganese Blue and Majestic Violet inks. Color the vellum on backside. Use the duplicate images for layering as desired, Cut fairy wings from vellum and apply onto cardstock image for a translucent effect. Use Hydra sponge to apply Crystal Lacquer onto poppies and leaves, allow to dry.

Shape the poppies using coordinating mold, layering two of each layer together. Use the remaining small poppy as a bud. Adhere green flower centers using foam adhesive, then apply a circle of Dries Clear Adhesive around center, sprinkle with Hot Mama prills, tap off. Shape remaining images with Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Apply the finished flowers and leaves onto EZ Floral Wire using hot glue.

Adhere on card as shown using Dries Clear Adhesive, foam and hot glue. For a finishing touch, add Lichen Glitter where desired.
