Instructions: Cut a piece of white cardstock to 9 1/2 x 6" size, score and fold at 4 3/4". Sponge around the outer edges of card with the French Ultramarine ink. Use a yellow sponge to dab the same ink color over the card to create a soft background. Apply Dries White glue onto yellow sponge, dab over cardbase, sprinkle with Rajni Chawla’s Frosting Powder and tap off. Diecut the HCD1-7256 Heart of Joy Decorative Die from white cardstock. Trim off the border of die as pictured. Sponge with French Ultramarine ink and cut in half. Trim narrow decorative strips from the Candy Cane Cottage paper collection. Attach strips on the top left and bottom right of card, and border as shown.
Diecut the largest circle from HCD1-7155 Circle Basics Large Die and 2nd largest plain circle from HCD1-7154 Eyelet Circle & Basics Small Die to create a circle border from the 6 x 6" candy cane stripes in the paper collection. Cut another large circle from clear cardstock and attach onto the backside of candy cane border. Stamp the skating penguins from HCPC-3886 Season of Glee Cling Stamp Set in Nautical Blue ink onto white cardstock and diecut with the large circle die. Now stamp the same image again onto white cardstock, this time diecut with the coordinating image die. Stamp 3 trees from HCPC-3886 Season of Glee stamp set ink Library Green ink onto white cardstock and diecut with coordinating die. Stamp small candy canes 2x from HCPC-3886 Season of Glee stamp set in Vermillion ink onto white cardstock and diecut with coordinating dies. Stamp the word Season’s from sentiment in HCPC-3884 Candy Cane Cottage stamp set in Vermillion ink onto white cardstock and diecut with left pointing smallest arrow from HCD1-7204 Arrows and Banner Die. Repeat this step again, this time with the word ‘greetings’.
Use the Stack and Store daubers to color the images, plus Fantastix for the fine details. Sponge a light touch of the French Ultramarine onto the ice on skating penguin circle. Use the Vivid Chartreuse and Emerald Green on the trees. Use Fantastix to color in the penguins. Use a light touch of Jet Black on the main body of penguins. Use French Ultramarine and Pink Peony on the face and bellies. Use Sunflower on their feet and beaks. Use Cactus Flower, Deep Purple, Vermillion, French Ultramarine and both greens to color in the scarves, caps and skates. Use the Dove Blender to smooth out the color on the images. Dab the Colorbox Frost White onto the edges of trees and candy cane striped circle border, sprinkle with White embossing powder and heat emboss.
Trim in between each branch layer of the pine trees to allow for more shaping. Lightly shape the trees and penguins with the stylus from Deluxe Flower Shaping kit. Use glue and dimensional adhesive to attach a tree and skating penguins onto circle. Layer dimensional adhesive around the edge of circle. Apply Dries White glue over the snow on trees, caps and scarves of penguins. Sprinkle with Crystal glitter and tap off. Apply Dries Clear glue over the ice and candy canes. Pour a small amount of Frosting Powder and Minnie Pearl prills into the cavity of circle. Layer the candy cane striped circle border on top, to create shaker scene. Attach shaker onto center of card. Trim down arrow sentiments as pictured. Attach everything onto card as shown.
