Sending Butterfly Hugs

Other Products: White Cardstock, Lichen Glitter, Funnel Tray, Scissors, Paper Trimmer, Die Cutting Machine, Scor-Pal Measuring & Scoring Board

Instructions: Card size is 5 3/4 x 4 3/4”. Score and fold an 8 1/2 x 11” sheet of white cardstock at 5 1/2”. Take the largest scalloped die from HCD2-7352 Large Butterfly Die and adhere on folded card base, extending the top edge of die over folded edge of card base. This will create your shaped card base.

Stamp the large butterfly image onto sheet 1B from the Floral Butterfly paper collection. Use Paradise Teal along the edges and Magenta Hue ink over the entire stamp. This will create a stamped image with beautiful hues of pink, purple and teal. Die cut using the same largest die with scalloped edge and adhere onto card base. Line foam strips along outside edge of butterfly, leaving no open gaps. Now sprinkle some Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear inside foam perimeter. Use same largest butterfly scalloped die to diecut clear cardstock and adhere onto foam strips.

Use this same largest butterfly die paired with the lacey overlay die to diecut a soft blue frame from the Floral Butterfly paper collection, sheet 1B. Place sentiment stamp onto acrylic block adjusting slightly to create a soft curve. Then ink only the first two words of the sentiment, ink with Magenta Hue and stamp on butterfly frame. Clean your stamp and this time only ink the last two, ink with Paradise Teal ink, then apply Magenta Hue on it, this will create a fun shade of purple. Stamp this on butterfly frame as shown. Use dauber to softly apply Paradise Teal along edges of frame.

Stamp one each of the two florals on white cardstock using Leaf Green for the foliage and Vibrant Fuchsia on one of the floral sprays and Paradise Teal on the other floral sprig. Color using Stack and Store Daubers along with Vivid Chartreuse and Leaf Green on the Foliage. Then add Magenta Hue on the pink flowers and Paradise Teal to the teal flowers. Shape using Deluxe Flower shaping kit and cut apart as needed. Adhere florals onto butterfly frame using Dries Clear glue and foam adhesive, then attach frame onto card base using Dries Clear Glue.

Diecut lacey butterfly overlay on lavender paper from paper collection, sheet 3B, then also twice on white cardstock. Layer these together using Dries Clear glue, then use a dauber to add a soft touch of Magenta Hue in the center and Majestic Violet along the edges. Apply Dries Clear glue onto hydra sponge, dab randomly on lacey overlay, sprinkle with Rajni Chawla’s Frosting Powder, tap off and heat set with Heat It tool. Shape lightly using handle of stylus, then adhere onto card base using foam adhesive.

Apply Dries Clear glue lightly onto florals, sprinkle with Lichen Glitter, tap off and allow to dry.
