Picturesque Daffodils

Other Products: Paper trimmer, scissors

Instructions: Stamp onto white cardstock 4x Delightful Daffodil and white heat emboss. Color with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and die-cut with coordinating dies. With scissors cut a complete large daffodil flower from one of the die-cuts, then another cut the funnel and fluted petal, then another to cut the open fluted petal. Layer the 3 layers onto of the whole Delightful Daffodil with dots to create a decoupage effect to the daffodil flower.

In white cardstock die-cut 2x Leafy Border background in sizes 5” and 6”. Die-cut 2x of each coordinating decorative panel in 5” and 6” and adhere the mat and layers together using Designer Dries Clear adhesive to create a frame 5 x 6”. With scissors or a paper trimmer cut a piece of clear cardstock to the size of the frame 5 x 6” and adhere behind the frame then adhere the blank mat behind the clear cardstock. Create the box frame with white cardstock 11 x 12”. Score top and bottom side at 1/2”, 1 1/2”, 2”, 3”, 3 1/2”, 7 1/2” (only 1 1/2” in length which will span 2 score lines), 8”, 9”, 9 1/2”, 10 1/2” and left and right side at 1/2”, 1 1/2”, 2”, 3”, 9”, 10”, 10 1/2”, 11 1/2”. Position the cardstock portrait and with scissors cut vertical down the score lines at 3 1/2” and 7 1/2” down 2 score lines, then out and diagonal 1 score line, then vertical 1 score line (last one), then horizonal to the end. Repeat on all 4 corners (photos on my blog). Burnish all score lines and then adhere the left and right side first then bring the top and bottom over.

Stamp out ‘thank you’ in Jet Black Archival onto white cardstock and die-cut around the stamped image with the arrow die from Cut Mat Create 1B Die.

Die-cut the mat tag from Album Tags and Accents and score horizontal across the top to form a stand. Cut a piece of white cardstock at 3 x 1/2” and score each end at 1/2” and in the middle. Burnish the score lines to make a M/W shape, attach one end of the M to the back of the tag and one end to the picture frame (this will stop the stand from slipping outwards).

Adhere the Daffodil to the inside of the box frame with dots and adhere the clear cardstock panel over.
