Instructions: Create a 5 1/4” by 7 1/4” card base from white cardstock. Then cut one of the 5” x 7” card fronts from the Coffee Talk Paper Collection and adhere to the card base using Dries Clear Adhesive.
You will then fussy cut a coffee cup from one of the Coffee Talk paper sheets. Lightly shape the cup and add some Helmar Scrap Dots glue to the back to give the coffee cup height. Adhere to the card front. Then use your kraft knife to cut openings in the coffee cup & mug. This gives it an appearance of being a real cup which you will then be adding flowers to.
Use the Classic Petunia Large die to die cut a total of 6 of the larger flowers and 6 of the smaller petunia's. Now use your stack and store dauber to sponge on a touch of navy ink to each of the flower centers. Once complete take your tweezers to hold each flower and gently apply heat from the iron. This will allow the foam paper to bend and mold while warm. Cup and twist each flower for a more realistic look.
Then adhere the flowers together using a dab of floral adhesive. (There are two petals layered and off set for each flower.) Once dry pierce a hole through the centers of the flowers and add the small pearl stamens to the larger petunias. For the flowers in the coffee cup, you will simply mold and shape without adding any stamens. I also added grass floral picks as shown. Adhere your flowers accordingly with dries clear adhesive then die cut the leaves from the Young at Heart die set. Once done dab some Memento Bamboo Leaves ink for color and adhere.
