Instructions: Make a long card base by cutting white cardstock to 8 1/2" X 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" and fold. Make a lavender mat 4 1/8" X 8 1/8". Cut a 4" X 8" piece of designer paper that looks like a collage. Die cut three of the scalloped border the length of the die from white cardstock. Trim to 1" wide. Glue two of these together to form a double thickness for the bottom. This will allow the finished card to stand upright without bending the trim. Cut two strips of white cardstock 9" X 1 1/2". Die cut these by cutting once, then line up the back by overlapping the little diamond shaped cuts, tape in place and cut again. Glue the top and bottom strips to the lavender mat, lining up lavender to the middle of the diamond cut. Leave a about an inch unglued from each corner as you will need to trim these later. Glue the long strips to the mat in the same manner. Trim each corner at an angle from the corner in, and trim off any excess to match as well as you can. You will add the rhinestones later to cover any defects in the seams. Glue this piece to the card front. Glue the collage card front to the lavender mat, making sure to center it as well as possible. Glue an 8" strip of pearls to the left as pictured. Now you can add the rhinestones on each corner.
Using Xpress paper and black ink, stamp the small rose stem six times, the large rose stem four times and the leaf spray twice. Color all leaves and stems using YG 97, & 95 to make veins, then coat all with YG 11 and go over this with YG 93. I found this to be a perfect combination for rose leaves. Color three small, and two large rose buds. You will be snipping off the stems of the remaining ones to add at the bottom of your bouquet. Use V17, 15, & 12 to color buds. Shape the buds and leaves following the video listed above. Go over the rose buds with Wink of Stella. Arrange the buds as pictured, adding pop-dots under the buds and a small drop of glue to the stems below the buds. Snip the leaf cluster in half and glue them in to fill gaps. Snip off the remaining stems from in-colored buds and bend upward slightly. Glue these as pictured to resemble a bouquet.
To make the bow I dyed 3 yards of white seam binding in this manner. In a small plastic lunch bag add 1 tablespoon isopropyl alcohol, add seam binding. Close bag and squeeze to thoroughly to saturate ribbon. Open bag and drop in a few drops of eggplant, then wild plum. Take the ribbon out and let dry on paper towels. When dry, make a large loose 3" bow and glue to the base of the rose buds as pictured. Cut the appropriate tags with the matching dies and tie together with a small piece of twine. Glue this to the bow knot to finish your card.
