Ironwork Birthday Poppies

Instructions:

Cut a 7.5” square of black paper from the collection and layer onto a 7.75” square white card base. Die cut the largest Rectangle Filigree Frame using contrasting paper from the Wild Poppy Paper collection and adhere to the left side of the card base, edge the waste with lady bug ink and adhere into the centre of the frame.

Die cut the plain rectangle using the same contrasting paper, edge with lady bug ink as before and adhere onto a gold die cut of the medium decorative frame. Adhere to the card base across the middle of the card using foam pads. Die cut a medium decorative frame using a pale green paper from the collection and snip into it, adhere the pieces to the card base under the sides and centres of the panel. Die cut the sentiment using gold card and adhere to the centre of the panel.

Make the corner accents:- Stamp 2 Poppy corners onto stamping card using black ink, cover with clear embossing powder, remove excess and heat to set. Colour using zig markers and water brush, die cut and shape using the flower shaping tools.

Make the Poppies: Stamp onto flower shaping paper using rhubarb stalk ink, color lightly using lady bug and add additional rhubarb stalk to the center of the flowers, die cut. Color the backs and add a deeper red to the front edges of the petals using lady bug. Place face up into the shaping mold, spritz with water and run through the die cutting machine to shape. Add additional shape if required using the groove tools. Poke a hole in the center of each set of petals and thread through 2 stamen, and hot glue to hold in place. Draw a ring of dries clear glue around the stamen and cover with power outage prills, remove the excess and allow to dry. Dab glue onto the petals with a sponge and sprinkle over with glitter.

Position the corners and flowers onto the card, hot glue into place and adhere glitter gems to the corners of the largest frame.
