Instructions: Click here to view more photos of this project. Start with cutting the pattern paper for the card base. Use the outer circle die from the Lattice die set and cut circles from pattern paper to attach inside the card folds.
Cut out 4 lattice die cuts from pink background paper. Use the same lattice die to cut out the four flaps of the interlocking card. Use only the insert. Do not use the outer ring. Using the scalloped outer die, cut out four pieces from Luxe Gold card stock. Adhere these four pieces on the flap and then add the pink die cuts.
Stamp the peony flower image on deluxe flower paper using and the leaves using library green ink. Colour with Archival inks and then cut with matching die. Shape and mold the flowers with groove golf tools. Layer them together and then add yellow stamens. Make smaller filler flowers using the Floral Fashionista set.
Make a band with 1 inch pattern paper to fit around the card base. Mat on another layer to make it sturdy. Cut out 1 piece of intricate frame from Gold card stock and use only the outer lacy edge to add border to the band. Secure the band with glue and test it by making sure it moves smoothly.
Arrange the flowers and leaves on the band taking care not to glue anything outside the band.
Stamp the birthday sentiment on the die cut, cut from Album tags and accents die and add to the inside of the card. Cut out a circle sentiment from Just for you cling stamp set and add to the right of the band. Cut three key die cuts from Window Hinges die set and add to the card.
Interlock the card to close it as per your choice. Add the belly band to finish the card.
