Instructions: To see another view of this card see this link. Cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" heavy cardstock. Place paper with the long side horizontal (8 1/2") and score at 2 1/8". Flip to the other end and repeat score line. This will create a card measuring 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". The card opens in the middle with a flap on each side.
Select the paper from the Beary Fun Retreat paper collection and cut with a 1/8" margin on the outer sides, top and bottom of the card. Line the inside of the card as well.
Close the card and place a circle die as shown. Tape to one side of the card. Open card and die cut. Close the flaps and while keeping the circle die in the same place, tape the other side and run through your die cut machine. Die cut a circle frame using two circle dies and place onto circle opening (you'll have to cut the circle frame where the two panels meet.
Stamp the bear holding a guitar image with Espresso Truffle ink onto white cardstock. Color the bear with the following Copic markers - E30, E33, E35, E37, E39. Apply 70% alcohol to a terry cloth and hold over the bear for 6 seconds. When dry, add R20, R22 to bottom of foot. The guitar was colored with E00, E11 and E21. Die Cut with the Beary Fun Retreat die. Apply 3-D lacquer to the guitar and allow to dry overnight. Cut 3-4 images (bear with guitar) from brown cardstock and adhere with a narrow strip of mounting tape between each layer for dimension. The tape should not show when viewed from the side.
Cut green arrow strips for each side. Cut 3-4 more arrows for each side and adhere together for strength. Cut additional rectangular strips to create a buckle as shown. Glue the straight end of the arrows on the inside of each flap and apply the designer paper over the top for a clean finish. See the picture as a reference. The buckles will interlock and keep the card closed. Close the card flaps and adhere the bear with adhesive through the circle for perfect placement.
Stamp the sunflowers from the Classic Sunflower cling collection using Espresso Truffle ink onto white cardstock. Die cut the flowers and sponge with Fossilized Amber Distress Ink and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink. Gently mist with water and shape with the Deluxe flower Shaping Kit.
Quill loose coils with 1/8" green cardstock or quilling paper. Apply to the center of the sunflowers with Designer Dries clear Adhesive. Stamp the leaf flourish from Classic Rose stamp on coral cardstock with Espresso Truffle ink and die cut with the coordinating die. Spritz with water, and gently shape.
Apply Clear Crackle paint and sprinkle with Rajni's Frosting Powder. Heat Set. Adhere the flowers and leaf flourishes. Nailheads are applied for embellishment.
