Gatefold Floral Basket

Instructions:

To create the ready gatefold card base, take a piece of White cardstock measuring 9 x 6 inches in size. Cut 2 more pieces measuring 9 x 4 inches, score and fold these 2 pieces at 1/2 inch along the long side to create flaps. Using the plain edge die from HCD3-7442 Curvy Decorative Border Die, cut the open side of each of the flaps. Now adhere these along the 1/2 inch flaps on either side of the bigger piece of cardstock to create gatefold card base.

Using sheet 1B from HCDP1-2146 Floral Basket Paper Collection, cut panels to cover the inside and outer flaps of the card base, leaving a thin frame around. Cut 4 pieces of the decorative curvy border on White cardstock from HCD3-7442 Curvy Decorative Border Die, stack 2 each and adhere them on each of the flaps as shown. Cut 8 pieces of the corner die with White cardstock from HCD3-7434 Delicate Daisy Corner & Border Die, sponge the edges of each of the die-cuts with Tumbled glass distress oxide ink and adhere on all the corners of the front flaps as well as the inside panel.

Stamp the sentiment from HCPC-31007 Friendship Sentiments Cling Stamp Set on White cardstock with Tumbled Glass oxide ink. Cut this with a matching oval die and sponge the edges with the same ink. Using the second largest die from HCD2-7426 Oval Filigree Frame Die, die-cut 1 piece with White cardstok and sponge the edges of this as well with the same ink. Layer the ready die-cuts with the sentiment and adhere it to the center of the inner panel as shown.

Stamp the images from HCPC-31008 Wicker Basket Cling Stamp Set and HCPC-31009 Basket Florals Cling Stamp Set onto White cardstock with Obsidian Black pigment ink and color them using watercolors. Cut the images using their coordinating dies along with 2 blank die-cuts for each of the images. Stack and adhere the die-cuts together and add crystal clear glitter by sponging some dries clear glue.

Adhere the Rose bud to the inner panel alongside the sentiment. Cut the center decorative element from HCD1-7283 Courtyard Elegance Die on White cardstock along with a mat circle die-cut. Sponge the edges of these die-cuts with Tumbled Glass oxide ink. Arrange these die-cuts with dimensional tape and adhere this to one of the flaps leaving one-half open to the other side. Arrange the Flower blooms with the basket and adhere them to the circle element using dimensional tape. Finish off the card by adding White flat-back pearls around the arrangment.
