Floral Enclosure

Instructions:

Fold a 4.5” x 7.5” piece of white card in half, place the outer bird cage die over the fold and diecut to create a shaped tent fold card base, which is flat across the top.

Die cut the birdcage solid die using white card and paper from the collection, adhere together. Die cut the decorative bird cage using paper from the collection and adhere to the solid shape. Adhere this panel to the front of the card base.

Stamp the sentiment onto white card using black ink and die cut using the slim lattice oval. Die cut a second decorative oval and adhere both outer pieces together. Edge the solid sentiment oval with the rose bud ink and secure the sentiment within the decorative oval at the top of the bird cage.

Make the flower: Stamp the largest iris petals x 3 onto flower shaping paper using the lilac posies ink. Add some copic colour to the centre  of the flowers (FY1), shade around the centre using daffodil delight ink. Diecut. Lightly colour the edges of the petals using rose bud ink and colour the reverse. Place into the mold face down, spritz with water and run through the diecutting machine to shape. Thread 6 pastel pearls stamen through the centre of 4 sets of petals and secure with hot glue. Snip a set of petals in half and use to fill any gaps. Sponge a small amount of dries clear adhesive to the edges of the flower and sprinkle with transparent glitter.

Make the leaves: Stamp 2 sets of lily leaves onto paper from the lily collection using northern pine ink, die cut and add additional colour to the edges using a dauber. Place face down into the mold, spritz lightly with water, and run through the die cutting machine to shape.

Hot glue the leaves and flower on top of a small amount of sisal to hold in place.
