Fairy Meadow Cottage

Instructions: Cut a piece of white cardstock to 10 x 7", score and fold at 5" to create card base. Use the largest plain oval from HCD1-7157 Eyelet Oval & Basics Large Die to diecut an oval opening into the front flap of card base. Cut a piece of background paper from the Countryside Cottage Paper Collection to 6 3/4 x 4 3/4" size. Cut an oval from the paper so it fits perfectly onto front of card. Sponge the edges with Leaf Green ink and attach onto card. Cut another same size piece of paper for inside of card. Sponge edges with same ink and attach. Use the oval die again, this time to diecut a white oval frame. Attach oval frame to card front as shown.
All the following images were stamped onto Flower Shaping cardstock and diecut with the coordinating dies. Stamp the cottage from HCPC-3938 Countryside Cottage Cling Stamp Set in Cactus Flower ink and diecut including windows and door. Stamp and diecut the cottage again, this time in Forget-Me-Not ink. Stamp the cottage one more time, this time in Sepia ink. Diecut the main outline of Sepia cottage and chimney. Using from HCPC-3939 Cottage Tree 'scapes Cling Stamp Set, stamp 1 of the bare tree in Sepia, 2 leaf clusters in Leaf Green, and 2 flower clusters in Magenta Hue and diecut. Using from HCPC-3940 Cottage Summer 'scapes Cling Stamp Set, stamp the grass in Leaf Green and little birdies in Forget-Me-Not ink and diecut. Stamp the floral pots from same set in Sepia, Leaf Green, Cactus Flower and diecut.
Use the Stack and Store daubers along with the following inks to color the images. For the cottage, you will only need to color the Cactus Flower one, plus the teal windows, doors, and brown chimney pieces. For the roof and steps, use Sunflower and Sepia. Use Cactus Flower ink on cottage exterior. Color the windows and door with Forget-Me-Not and Sunflower ink. Use Sepia on chimneys. Now layer the Cactus Flower cottage onto the brown one. Adhere the colored windows, door and chimneys as pictured. Color the bare tree with Sunflower and Sepia. Color the tiny flowers with Magenta Hue and use Vivid Chartreuse on the leaves. Color the floral pots with Leaf Green, Magenta Hue and Sepia ink. Color the grass and leaf clusters with Leaf Green. Color the little birdies with Garden Patina and Sunflower on the bellies.
Use the stylus from Deluxe Flower Shaping kit to shape tree, flowers, leaves, birdies, floral pots and grass. Cut apart the leaves and add onto tree. Do the same with the itty bitty flowers. Add the little birdies to tree. Attach the tree to right side of oval. Use glue and dimensional adhesive to attach the cottage as shown. Attach the green grass in sections in front of cottage. Use glue and dimensional adhesive to attach floral pots at bottom right and left of card. Use the Dries Clear glue along with Crystal glitter for a touch of sparkle on the card as desired.
