Instructions: Take a 12" x 12" white cardstock & score at 4" & 8" both vertically & horizontally. Cut & remove the corner squares so that the final shape resembles a 'plus' sign. Fold on the score lines to make the base of the explosion box. Make the lid with 6" x 6" white cardstock by scoring at 1" from all four sides. Decorate the box & lid with papers cut from Woodsy Wonderland Paper Collection.
Die cut four 4" borders from white cardstock using Delicate Border Basics Die & Classic Border Basics Die. Adhere them to the lid edge as shown. Die cut a piece of white cardstock with Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares dies, cut out a square in the center & stamp the sentiment from Soar on Eagle's Wings Cling Stamp Set with Black Archival Ink on the cut out square. Adhere it in the center of the lid & use foam adhesive to adhere the frame so that it is slightly raised than the center piece.
Take a 6" x 2 1/2" piece of white cardstock & emboss it using Sizzix Tim Holtz Bricked Embossing Folder. Ink it lightly with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. Adhere the short edges together to make a cylinder. Stamp the gate, window & hanging sign images from Wildwood Cottage Cling Stamp Set with Black Archival Ink & die cut them using matching dies from Wildwood Cottage Die. Color them using Gansai Tambi Watercolors & Koi waterbrush. Adhere them to the cylinder as shown. Die cut a piece of brown cardstock using Spellbinders Picot Edge Circles dies. Cut out a small pie shape from the die cut & adhere the 2 resulting straight edges to make a cone. Adhere it on top of the cylinder to make the roof of the fairy cottage. Adhere it to the center square as shown. Make the path using wet glue, black micro beads & Third Place Prills.
Stamp the fairy & birdbath images from Wildwood Cottage Darlings & Wildwood Cottage Accents Cling Stamp Set with Black Archival Ink, cut them with matching die from Wildwood Cottage Darlings & Wildwood Cottage Accents Die. Color them using Gansai Tambi Watercolors & Koi waterbrush. Adhere them to the center square as shown.
Stamp the fence image from Wildwood Cottage Accents Cling Stamp Set several times with Black Archival Ink, cut them with matching die from Wildwood Cottage Accents Die & ink with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. Adhere them back to back so that the stamping is on both sides of the fence. Adhere it on 3 sides of the center square.
Stamp the leaves with Black Archival ink & flowers with Seedless Preserve Distress ink from Wildwood Florals Cling Stamp Set. Die cut them using matching dies from Wildwood Florals Die. Ink the leaves using Mowed Lawn Distress ink & the flowers using Seedless Preserve Distress ink. Shape them using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Glue tiny pearls to make the flower center. Adhere the flowers & leaves on the fairy cottage roof, Fairy hair & the frame on the lid. Glue some pearls to the explosion box to add finishing touches.
