Instructions:
Card size is approximately 4 x 5 3/4”. Cut Deluxe Flower Shaping paper to 9 x 6”, score at 4 1/2” and fold. Place Elegant Rose Frame outline die onto the folded card base, making sure the blade is above the fold, just slightly, to create a shaped card base, diecut. Remove, then die cut an oval opening in the center of the card front using the second largest plain edge oval from the Eyelet Oval and Basics Small die set. Use Stack and Store dauber to apply a soft shade of Vivid Chartreuse ink on card front in random areas. Diecut an oval frame from sheet 7B of paper collection using largest plain edge oval from the Small die set and the third largest plain edge oval from the Eyelet Oval and Basics Large die set. Use dauber to apply Plum ink onto oval frame. Adhere on the backside of the circle opening on card front using foam adhesive.
Stamp Elegant Rose Frame onto Deluxe Flower Shaping paper using Plum ink, diecut using both coordinating dies to create a frame. Diecut a second frame from Luxe Gold Cardstock. Use Vibrant Fuchsia, Majestic Violet and Plum ink to stamp an ombre birthday sentiment from the Elegant Rose Sentiments stamp set. You may need to do this several times to achieve the perfect combination. Diecut using coordinating die, die cutting an additional 5 more sentiments for layering.
Stamp the Classic Rose flowers onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper using White Pigment ink, embossing with white embossing powder, heat set. You’ll need 3 Extra Small, 4 Small, 3 Medium and 4 Large petals.
Color roses using Rose Madder then Vibrant Fuchsia inks. Color the Roses on frame and sentiment using same ink colors, stamp the foliage with Vivid Chartreuse and Olive inks, and a softer had of Vivid Chartreuse onto edges of Elegant Rose frame. Adhere onto gold frame, offsetting slightly leaving you with a golden shadow then adhere onto card front using foam adhesive. Use Rose Madder ink to add a soft color to sentiment. Use scissors to separate sentiment words, doing the same for the layering pieces. Adhere all the layers together using Dries Clear adhesive, apply Crystal Lacquer onto sentiments using a Hydra Sponge to make it pop. Adhere “happy” onto frame and “Birthday” on inside of card base, centered in the oval opening. If desired adhere “to you” along with a floral from sentiment on inside of card, only being visible when card is opened.
Shape rose petals using coordinating mold. Layer roses together as shown, to create 2 open flowers and 2 rose buds, adhering using hot glue. Adhere onto card as shown. Cut 2 strips of paper from sheet 11A using paper trimmer cutting strips to approximately 6 x 1/8”, ink using Plum in then wrap around stylus for a curly ribbon effect. Adhere onto card using hot glue and Dries Clear Glue.
Apply Dries Clear Glue onto card base as desired, sprinkle with Crystal Glitter.
