Dragonflies on Mixed Media

Instructions:

Spritz a sheet of stamping card with water and sprinkle over the cosmic shimmer and brusho to create a background. Allow to dry thoroughly and cut to 6.75” x 4.75” randomly die cut the flowers into the background and adhere to a white piece of card the same size.

Stamp the flowers onto white stamping card using the archival ink and die cut. Adhere into the apertures previously diecut into the shimmery background. Trim away excess.

Die cut a large white circle and a large circle using the rustic sunflower paper, die cut the happy birthday sentiment into this. Put the circles together and die cut the smallest circle from the centre. Adhere the paper and white card together and add to the centre of the shimmer background using foam pads. Attach 2 ribbons either side of the sentiment and secure at the back of the background and mount onto a 7” x 5” piece of white card using foam pads.

Cut two 7”x 5” papers from the rustic sunflower paper collection and adhere as shown to the top left and bottom right of the 6” x 8” tent fold card base. Diecut the smallest decorative rectangle using some of the waste from the shimmery background. Snip into 2 opposite corners of the diecut and adhere to the top and bottom of the papers.

Adhere the shimmer background piece onto the centre of the card using foam pads.

Die cut 2 corners from the shimmery background card and adhere into place over the top right and bottom left of the white border.

Stamp the dragonflies onto vellum using the black ink, cover with clear embossing powder, remove excess and heat to set. Colour using lady bug ink onto the back of the vellum, die cut, lightly shape and adhere to the front of the card.
