Instructions: Click here to view more photos of this project. Lantern measures - 4 3/4 inches by 4 3/4 inches by 6 3/4 inches. To create a lantern - die cut 4 Intricate Swirls frames from gold foil paper cardstock. Take 3 frames and cut out the smaller stitched rectangles using craft knife and ruler, then add permanent tape on the back and glue the vellum. Score and fold gently all the frames following the vertical sides of the smaller rectangles. Take one of the frames which left and adhere the cut out gold foil rectangle on the back. Cut out 3 3/8" x 5 3/8" piece from paper collection and adhere it on the frame front, then die cut 4 corners of the Albums Tags and Accents Die in gold foil paper and adhere them on the corners of rectangle. Cut out 3" x 4" piece with wishes from paper collection and glue white card stock on the back, then adhere it to the frame using 3D foam circles.
Stamp the larger image with candle from Candlelit Poinsettia Cling Stamp Set with Jet Black Archival Ink and colour it in with Distress inks (Chipped Sapphire, Scattered Straw,Barn Door, Mowed Lawn, Peeled paint, Pumice Stone, Evergreen Bough, Tumbled Glass) using Blender Marker. Die cut the image with matching die from Candlelit Poinsettia dies, then glue additional die cut of white card stock to the back. Check how you want to place it on the lantern and score or cut out if needed, then adhere do the frame using permanent tape and permanent squares if needed.
Stamp the 5 branch images from Glow of Christmas Cling Stamp Set with Jet Black
Archival Ink and colour them in with Distress inks (Barn Door, Mowed Lawn) using
Blender Marker and dauber. Die cut branch images with matching die from Glow of Christmas dies. Die cut a few leaves to make branches short enough to match your lantern, then adhere them to the top of the vellum using permanent glue squares.
Assemble all the lantern sides together - Frame with the candle on the front, frames with the branches on the sides and frame with wishes on the back. For finishing touches, add Ice Stickles on the Poinsettia flower image and as an accent on the branches. Leave the lantern to dry completely. Don't forget to put electric candle/tea light inside.
