Instructions: Start by cutting 2 - 6" x 6" pieces of cardstock and another 6" x 6" piece of Vellum. For the cross you will need to create several layers. The first layer out of white is 6" x 11" with a 2" thick cross 1" down from the top. You will need to score on the top edge 1" so that the cross can fold over and attach to the back of one of the 6" square pieces. You will then attach the second 6" square piece to hide the flap. I wanted to have several layers of folds at the base so they are simple mountain and valley scores every inch. The designer paper for the 2 layers of the cross are each 1/2" smaller then the previous layer and this is finished off with the Cross and Lilies die cut. I wanted to give the impression of a peaceful resting monument so I added the gates and finished the card off with the Poppy Corner and Border Cling Stamp Set. The Poppy Border Cling Stamp image was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder and then colored with Distressed Markers and the flowers were distressed with Memento Rose Bud. The sentiment was also cut from the Blazing Poppy Paper collection with fussy cut fish tails on each end.
