Instructions: Cut a piece of white cardstock to 8 1/2 x 6" size, score and fold at 4 1/4". Sponge around the outer edges of card with the French Ultramarine ink. Use a yellow sponge to dab the same ink color over the card to create the illusion of a sky. Apply Dries White glue onto yellow sponge, dab over 'sky', sprinkle with Rajni Chawla's Frosting Powder and tap off. Now cut a light blue patterned piece of paper from the collection to 1 x 6" size. Use the plain wavy border from HCD1-7120 Fleur Border Basics Die, to diecut a small hill. Sponge edges with the ink, use glue and dimensional adhesive to attach to bottom of card. Cut 2 pieces of light blue patterned paper from the collection to 5 1/8 x 2", sponge the edges with the ink and attach to the top left and bottom right of card base.
Stamp the candy cane cottage from HCPC-3884 Candy Cane Cottage stamp set onto kraft cardstock with the ColorBox Frost white ink and apply White Embossing powder. Emboss with heat tool. Diecut the cottage, creating opening in the windows. Stamp the cottage again, this time on plain red from the paper collection, heat set with the white ink and embossing powder. Diecut the door frame. Stamp the cottage a 3rd time, this time on white cardstock, using the Vermillion ink and diecut the windows. Diecut the snowy roof from white cardstock. Cut petite strips of the 6 x 6" candy cane patterned paper from the collection to fit the sides of cottage. Use the Beige Zig marker along with water blender to fill in with a touch of color and dimension on the cottage. Attach petite candy cane strips onto cottage. Use glue and dimensional adhesive to attach snowy roof. Attach door frame and windows. Apply a touch of Sunflower ink onto the cardbase where the window of cottage will be. Attach cottage onto card with glue and dimensional adhesive.
Stamp the large and small candy canes from HCPC-3886 Season of Glee stamp set in Vermillion ink onto white cardstock and diecut with coordinating dies. Stamp the caroling penguins from HCPC-3885 Merry Moments stamp set, string of lights (2x) from HCPC-3884 Candy Cane Cottage stamp set in Nautical Blue ink onto white cardstock and diecut with matching die. Stamp the tree from HCPC-3886 Season of Glee stamp set ink Library Green ink onto white cardstock and diecut with coordinating die. Stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment from HCPC-3884 Candy Cane Cottage stamp set in Vermillion ink onto white cardstock and fussy cut by hand.
Use the Stack and Store daubers to color the images, plus Fantastix for the fine details. Use the Vivid Chartreuse and Emerald Green on the tree. Use both greens, French Ultramarine, Vermillion and Deep Purple for the string of lights. Use Fantastix to color in the penguins. Use a light touch of Jet Black on the the main body of penguins. Use French Ultramarine and Pink Peony on the face and bellies. Use Sunflower on their feet and beaks. Use Cactus Flower, Deep Purple, Vermillion, French Ultramarine and both greens to color in the scarves, books and caps. Use the Dove Blender to smooth out the color on the images.
Lightly shape the string of lights, tree and penguins with the stylus from Deluxe Flower Shaping kit. Attach everything onto card as shown. Add Dries White glue over the roof, snow on windows, tree, penguin's caps and at the front and next to cottage, then sprinkle with Crystal glitter. Use Dries Clear glue on the candy canes and sprinkle with Crystal glitter.
