Butterfly Fridge Magnet

Other Products: White Cardstock, Die Cut Machine, Scor-Tape, Purple Ribbon, White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Magnet, ColorBox Frost White Pigment Ink

Instructions: Using white cardstock, die cut the center of the Rounded Window Frame Die. Using the circle die, cut out a piece of the paper collection. I chose sheet 9A which is blue. Glue to the Window Frame Die and set aside.

Stamp the Clematis Trellis using Rich Cocoa Ink. Color in the flowers using Majestic Violet ink and a dauber. Cut out the Trellis using the coordinating die. Then use a circle die from the Eyelet Circle & Basics dies and cut the trellis. Adhere to the center of the piece. Glue the magnet to the back of the decorative circle and cut another circle out of white cardstock and glue to the back to cover the magnet. This will also keep it from scratching your refrigerator.

Stamp the flowers using Art Foam Paper and Lulu Lavender ink. Using a dauber and Majestic Violet ink color the center of each petal. Cut out with coordinating dies and then shape using a heat gun. Add Prills to the center of the petals and allow to dry. Stamp the leaves with Fern Green ink and color with Leaf Green ink. Use coordinating die to cut out the leaves and shape with heat gun. Set aside.

Stamp the butterfly onto vellum using white pigment ink and then emboss with white embossing powder. Use coordinating die and cut out the butterfly. Color the butterfly with Majestic Violet and Sunflower ink then I added just a tiny bit of Tiger Lily. You can color on either side of the butterfly but I chose to color on the back which gave it a more subtle look.

Tie a bow in the ribbon and use Scor-Tape and glue to adhere to the bottom of the refrigerator magnet. Decide on placement of flowers and leaves and glue down. To finish, decide on placement for the butterfly and glue it down.

These magnets are a quick and easy project and can be given as a little gift to a friend or loved one. I also have several gracing the front of my refrigerator as well. Enjoy!
