Instructions: Click here to view another photo of this project. Card size: 5 1/2 x 6”. Cut white cardstock 9” x 5 3/4” then fold into thirds by scoring at 3” and 6”. Use the largest tag in the Albums and Tags set to cut through 3 layers of cardstock, top only. The card will end up 5 1/2" by 9” but will close to 5 1/2" x 6”. Score the 2 end panels at 1 1/2" from edges (in half) again and fold. Cut decorative paper for center and 2 sides, cutting them with the next size down tag making them just a bit smaller than the card base, trim at the bottom as necessary to leave a border. Score the 2 end pieces to fit the card, then glue paper to all panels (it helps to score it first so that it lays flat when glued). Cut 2 white Swirly Border bases, glue them together (6”) to form a “bridge” for the card (make sure when you glue them to the 2 ends that the card can still fold down one direction or the other). Cut 2 green Swirly Border decorative insides and glue them onto the bridge (cut where necessary so that they don’t overlap much).
Stamp Window and birds on the branch using black, die cut then color with Copics (or whatever you like to color with). Cut a piece of yellow for the open window but add some lace to it before gluing it to the back of the window (for curtains). Glue it to the card while open, above the Swirly Borders then pop the birds and branch just below window on top of Swirly Borders.
Stamp blossom from the small set using Buttercup, Magenta Hue and Pink Peony. Sponge blossoms with their stamp color, die cut then form in the Shaping Mold. Stamp leaves using Fern Green, sponge with Leaf Green, die cut and for in their Shaping Mold. For the top flowers, layer 2 blossoms together, pierce centers and insert small stamen then medium stamen. For the flowers on the branch below window, single layer flowers were used with only small stamen.
Glue all the single layer flowers to the branch on top of stamped flowers. The other flowers (5 all together) are glued to the top of each end panel, 2 on one side and 3 on the other along with leaves (however many appeals to you).
For the sentiment inside center, die cut the label from decorative paper and also cut a sentiment from decorative paper (Birthday Blessings used here). Add brads to the holes at each end and secure in the back. Add dimensionals to the back of label, curl Birthday Blessings and glue onto label then remove dimensionals backing and adhere to the top center of card. Glitter card and flowers with Rajni’s Crystal Clear.
