Instructions: Click here to view more photos of this project. Card size: 6 x 6”. Cut the Sunray side of Rounded Sunlight Window twice out of Luxe Gold. Use outside portion of die to cut paper to fit half circle panels, yellow on the outside panels and red on the inside panels (back). Use the smaller half circle die to cut a 6” scenic panel from decorative paper into 2 semi circles that will fit inside of gold windows, cut vellum to fit as well. Glue vellum to the back of Gold window then glue 2 semi circle scenes to the back of vellum. Glue both gold windows to the yellow panels. Cut 4 small hinges from dark brown add mousse colors and glue to each straight side of gold window, fold over to red panel in back. Die cut latch for the front center out of dark brown and add silver and gold mousse. Attach brads to 3 holes at the top of latch and secure in back. Glue this to one side only in the center of curved gold windows.
On the inside of card, cut 1 piece of 6 x 12” decorative paper with the cabin then cut it in 3 pieces to fit each section, leave plenty of room for the scored folds. Cut the outside pieces with die to fit card then glue each panel down to card base.
Cut a 2” circle out of white, stamp and emboss “Best Guy Ever”. Use sponges to add sunset colors to circle with Oxide Inks. Glue it to the sky in middle section to the right. Stamp eagle, mountains, trout stream, deer, log cabin, ducks, extra bottom duck, wolf, cattails foreground grassy rocks and flowers x 2 using black, die cut and color. For wolf, die cut wolf only, trout stream-trees only, cabin, cabin with canoe and tree only. Only buck is used for the deer. Before adding any of these elements to the paper, add color to the mountain on the paper and color to the reflection in the water (the mountain reflection).
Pop up eagle in the sky on the center section to the left side. Pop up center section of mountains (do not pop up sides or the card will not close). Pop up only center section canoe and glue the other part of canoe on, glue cabin on. Cut tree in half and glue half to center, half to side. Cut trees apart on the trout stream die cut. Glue one to left end of mountains, 2 to the right side of center section of mountains and 3-4 to the side on the right along with the rest of the mountain. Glue the wolf to the right side, glue part of foreground and a hollyhock to “plant” him. Glue the ducks to the bottom of the center then glue some cattails and parts of foreground in front of them. Pop up the bottom duck and add snow pen to splashes then heat to puff up. Glue buck to left side at the bottom and glue last part of foreground in front of him. Glitter the flowers-even guys don’t mind a little glitter!
