Instructions: Cut white cardstock 12 x 4” and score every 1 1/2” both landscape and portrait, giving you 1 1/2” scored squares. Cut 1 x 4 1/2” joining strip and score portrait down the centre, trim from both edges to form a point at each end, this helps to hide the joining strip.

Lay the scored 12 x 4 1/2” out landscape from the top row of squares count squares from the left and completely cut away squares 3, 4, 5. On the 2nd row completely cut away square 4. With scissors, make a cut line to run the length of the square (1 1/2”) adjacent to the cut away area, for example: top row the 3rd square was cut away, the square adjacent is square 2, cut the bottom score line under square 2, this will mean square 2 is attached to square 1 by only one score line. Repeat this to every square next to the area cut away (there will be photos on my personal blog to help).

Burnish all the score lines. Row 3 square 4 will be the top of the card (B)Baby/Boy. Adhere each opposite squares next to the area cut away which will form step (O) and (Y).

Colour the cardstock blue (or use a coloured cardstock). Adhere the joining strip and form the step shape.

Die-cut Tender Moments Paper Collection mats for each square using Cut Mat Create 2B 1 1/2” round square and adhere to each square. Cut a mat in white cardstock and round the corners with a punch, edge in Archival Sky Blue and adhere to each square. Die-cut mat and layer 2 3/4” and 2 1/2” rounded square and adhere over cluster of 4 squares. Die-cut Ticket Tag from Album Tags and Accents Die and stamp WELCOME from Welcome Baby Cling Stamp set and Baby Boy from Baby’s Air Balloon Cling Stamp Set. Adhere with hot glue to keep a bow front shape to the tag and complete with bows each side.

Die-cut a Tender Moments Paper tag using Ticket and Tags Die and fasten to one of the square mats and layers with a brad prior to fixing.

Stamp Welcome Baby and Baby’s Friend in versafine and clear heat emboss. Color with Zig Clean Color Markers. Trim out individual letters B A B Y B O Y with scissors and add to the step card using foam pads.

Mat and Layer Cut Mat Create 1A 3 1/2 x 3/4” and stamp out CONGRATULATIONS from Welcome Baby Cling Stamp set and adhere to the inside bottom of the card. Add designer paper/white cardstock to the bottom of the card for message. This card folds flat.
