A Purple and Yellow Bouquet

Instructions:

Cut a piece of white card stock to 12” x 8” and score in half at 6” to form a 6 x 8” card base.   Cut a piece from sheet 9B of the HCDP1-2150 Iris Garden Paper Collection measuring 6” x 8” and glue it to the card front. Then cut a piece from Luxe Silver Card stock to 5 3/4 x 7 3/4" and adhere to the card front. Next cut a piece from sheet 3B to 5 5/8 x 7 5/8” and ink the edges of the paper with Deep Purple Archival ink using the HCDA2-450 Stack and Store Daubers, then attach it to the card front. Now using the largest die from HC-7426 Oval Filigree Frame Die set, cut one from white card stock and one from Luxe Silver Card Stock. Glue these together with Dries Clear Adhesive, slightly offsetting the white on top of the silver. Attach this die cut to the card top using 3D foam tape. Now using the second largest die cut a large oval from sheet 1B and glue it to the center of the filigree die that was attached to the card front in the previous step.

Using the HCPC-31020 Iris Garden Petals Cling Stamp Set stamp out the large iris stamp 3x in Deep Purple and 2 times in Chrome Yellow Archival Inks. Stamp the medium iris 5 times in Deep Purple and 2 times in Chrome Yellow, and the small iris 2 times in Deep Purple and 1 time in Chrome Yellow all onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Color using blending brushes using Periwinkle, and Chrome Yellow. Die cut with coordinating dies. Ink edges using Stack and Store Sponge Daubers in Periwinkle, Deep Purple, and Chrome Yellow. Now stamp the small leaves in Olive Archival ink onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 7x. Color with Leaf Green and Olive with a blending brush then die cut with the coordinating dies. Finally ink the edges of the leaves with the blend of green inks before running all petals and leaves through the coordinating 3D shaping mold. For the filler flowers stamp the Floral Sprig Trio stamp 3x from the HCPC-3932 Floral Shoppe Accents Cling Stamp Set using Deep Purple for the blooms and Olive for the stems (Designers Tip: Use a Stack and Store Dauber to precisely place the ink on the stamp before stamping) Then die cut with the coordinating dies and ink using the same colors. Finish them off by dabbing on Dries Clear Adhesive with a Hydra Sponge to the blooms and sprinkling with Crystal Ultra fine Transparent Glitter.

Once shaped in the mold continue to shape with the HCST1-401 Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and hand form the centers to begin your florals. Glue together using a hot glue gun. Using Dries Clear Adhesive and Crystal Clear Glitter along with Flower Soft to add special details to the Irises. Next glue to the EZ Stem Floral Wires to create the bouquet. Add the leaves and filler blooms to the stems and glue the entire bouquet to the card base with hot glue for a secure hold.

The sentiment comes from the HCPC-3844 For My Friend Sentiments Cling Stamp Set. Stamp it in Deep Purple ink onto white card stock then die cut out using the HCD1-7204 Arrows and Banners Die Set. Now cut a second banner from Luxe Silver Card Stock to place behind it for a coordinating accent. Attach this with stacked foam pads to clear the stem height, and allow the sentiment to lay evenly across the bouquet for a nice finishing touch. For the inside of the card, simply choose a piece of coordinating paper from the Iris Garden Paper Collection for a beautifully coordinating inside.
