Instructions:The finished card measures 6 1/4” x 8” (15.9cm x20.3cm). Taking the white card stock make a tent fold card measuring 6 1/4” x 8” (15.9cm x20.3cm) Taking the Bordeaux ink and the foam inking tool dauber, bring color to the card base edges. Find the design paper in the ‘Candy Cane Cottage’ paper collection and cut this a little smaller than the card base, ink also the edges of this paper. Adhere to the card base using 3D foam tape.
To make the elements for the card front: Make the 1/2 circle lace pocket by using the ‘Heart of Joy Decorative Die’ set and the white stamping card. Die cut the 1/2 circle base and the lace 1/2 circle. Die cut also from the white stamping card, two pocket accents from the ‘Regal Pocket Accents’ die set. Use one of these for under the 1/2 circle on the card front. Apply glitter to all these die cuts by applying the clear drying glue to the lace then dipping into the glitter. Putting aside on the funnel tray to dry. When dry adhere in place on the card front leaving the straight part of the 1/2 circle loose for the tag to go in. Make the tag by die cutting from the white stamping card and the ‘Album Tags and Accents Die’ set. Die cut both sized tags. Ink the edges with the Bordeaux ink. Taking the snow stamp from the ‘Season Of Glee’ stamp set, stamp this with the coffee ink randomly on the tag front. Color the snow with the Vanilla zig marker. Adhere the prepared remaining pocket accents die cut to the smaller tag. Adhere both the tags together using the 3D foam tape. Adhere this tag in place in the pocket.
Now you are ready to decorate the card with all the flowers and animals. To make the Poinsettia flowers and Holly leaves, stamp the Christmas Poinsettia’s and Holly leaves in the Library Green ink onto the white stamping card. Bring the color onto the image using the daubers and Archival inks. Red Geranium and leaf green are used for this. When finished coloring, die cut all then bring shape to the flowers and leaves by using the 3D flower mold. Use the flower shaping tools to bring further shape if needed. Stack three layers together and adhere together by using the hot glue gun. Apply clear drying glue to the petal points with a brush then dip into the glitter. Put aside to dry on the funnel tray. When dry, tap the flower on the side of the tray to eliminate any excess glitter. Apply clear drying glue to the poinsettia flower centers then pour the prills onto the flower. Taking a shaping tool press lightly on the prills, this will push the prills into the glue. Put aside to dry on the tray, when dry they are ready to use on your card. Adhere the leaves and flowers to the 1/2 circle and the right side of the tag top. Make the sentiment using the stamp and die from the ‘Young At Heart’ sets. Curling the sentiment banner with a pen or your fingers. Adhere in place tucking under the flowers.
Taking all the stamps needed for the bear and penguins from the stamp sets listed in the product list. Once these are colored and die cut using the zig markers and matching dies, trim away any stamped image not needed when adhering in place. The hot glue gun and clear drying glue was used to adhere the bear and penguins to the card. When all is securely adhered in place apply the dazzling detail glitter glue to the hats and scarves. Use the crystal lacquer for the glasses, eyes, beaks and nose. Apply also to some of the penguin’s bodies.
