Instructions: To view a lager photo of this project, click here. The round wooden base is measured at 12" in diameter. Take the map pattern paper from the Young at Heart collection and trace it out and cut. Adhere the paper to the wooden base. Cut 2 more smaller circles from the designer paper and adhere them with Dries Clear Adhesive on top of each other in concentric form. To create the greenery borders at the bottom, fussy cut some green pastures from the Young at Heart Paper Collection along with die cutting green designer paper using the delicate border die.
Die cut the decorative filigree pieces from The Winter’s Eve Window Box Elements Die from white card stock. The window is die cut from a patterned paper from the Young at Heart Collection. The water scene behind the window is also cut from the patterned paper. Cut two strips of patterned paper and place on the left side of the 12” circle as shown.
Stamp some window filler flowers from the Window Box Fillers Cling Stamp Set using black archival ink and color using any ink (here I have used Zig brushes). Stamp several of the dogwood flowers using black archival ink. Die Cut using the coordinating die and color using archival vibrant Fuschia and archival plum inks. Shape with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Add prills to the centers.
Stamp the leaves from the Simply Classic Cling Stamp Set on white cardstock with Leaf Ink, color and cut using the coordinating Die. Shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Arrange some of the leaves around the perimeter as shown.
Once all are colored and shaped, its time we assemble all the elements. First place the window frame at the center around which the scene is created. The window is placed above the green base at the bottom. Die cut a classic car and place it right below the window. The Dogwood flowers are all assembled in bunches around the window and also the filler leaves. Cut the Journey tag from the Young at Heart Paper Collection with the Simply Classic Die. The project is now complete.
