Instructions: Create a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2" top folding card. Cut some coordinating rose colored cardstock at 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches. Select the designer paper from the Classic Petunia Paper Collection that has "It's a Beautiful Day" across the bottom. Cut the designer paper at 5 x 5 inches. The card has a lot of layers so you will want to use a heavy double sided tape to adhere the layers.
Stamp the Classic Petunia Bouquet Stamp with Desert Sand Memento Dye Ink on X-Press It Blending Cardstock. Color the flowers and leaves with Copic Alcohol Ink Markers or your ink of choice. My color combo for the Petunias was RV11 and RV21. I darkened the center and shadow areas with Prismacolor Magnolia colored pencil. The large leaves were colored with Copic G99, G94 and G21. The smaller leaves were colored with YG11, YG21 and YG67. Cut the image 4 additional times and adhere together to create strength and dimension. Gently curl the image inward with your fingers to give a slight inward bend to the bouquet. Lightly apply some Dries Clear adhesive to the flowers and sprinkle with Baby's Breath Ultrafine Transparent Glitter. Allow to dry. Apply a light coat of Dries Clear Adhesive to the large green leaves and sprinkle with Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter.
The Open Leaf stamp set was stamped on green cardstock with Olive Grove Memento Ink. The leaves were die cut with the Classic Leaf Die. The edges were sponged with Olive Grove Memento Ink. The leaves were lightly misted and shaped using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Stamp, cut, sponge and shape 4 - 5 leaf stems to add fullness under the bouquet. Use some pearls to create a fun embellishment. I love to bead and have leftover beads that I love to use for this technique. Thread some wire through them and then Gesso the stem or you can wrap in floral tape if you prefer. If you do not have beads that are the correct color, you can gesso the bead and color if you prefer.
The Open leaves, baby breath, bead wires and focal image were adhered with a glue gun for strength.
