Instructions: Get started on this card by selecting the card base from the HCCF1-444-2 5"x 7" Foldout Cards-White. Use the HCD1-7119 Classic Border Basics Die to diecut top straight edge of card to match the top wave pattern of card. Pick papers from the Tropical Paradise collection and diecut to fit each fold of card as pictured. Attach the panels to each fold of the card. Next, use the leafy pattern dies from HCD1-7118 Delicate Border Basics Die together as shown in the video to diecut 2 border strip from the Tropical Paradise paper. Sponge the edges of 1 strip with Teal Zeal ink and the other with New Sprout. Attach the border strips onto card as pictured and cut excess of edges.
Stamp the cockatoo from HCPC-3781 Tropical Cockatoo, lovebirds from HCPC-3784 Tropical Parrots stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock and diecut with coordinating dies. Stamp the set of 3 mini plumerias from HCPC-3782 Tropical Plumeria stamp set in Dark Peony ink onto white cardstock and diecut with coordinating die. Diecut Aloha sentiment from yellow Tropical Paradise paper. Use the Stack and Store daubers for detailed application on the images. For the coloring and shaping of the plumerias, watch this tutorial https://youtu.be/6B5t9exttw0. Use Berrylicious, Teal Zeal, New Sprout and Cantaloupe to color the lovebirds.
Use the Berrylicious and Cantaloupe on the plumerias. Use New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves for the leaves. Use a touch of Berrylicious to accent features of cockatoo. Dab a bit of Gold Stamp paint onto non porous surface such as clear cardstock, spritz with water mister to dilute and then mix. Add a touch of the stamp paint onto cockatoo. Shape birds, plumerias and leaves. Apply some transparent stamp paint onto leaves for a waxy finish as well as Aloha sentiment. Attach everything onto card as pictured. Use Dries Clear glue to add Ribbit prills to the flower centers.
