Instructions: Cut heavy white card-stock to measure 11" x 4 1/4" and score at 5 1/2" to create a top-fold card. (Tip: When you score - fold away from the embossed line (valley) to prevent the card-stock from cracking. Avoid folding toward the mountain.) Cut green card-stock at 5 1/4" x 4". Select the designer paper from Monkeying Around Paper Collection. Cut the designer paper at 5" x 3 3/4". Adhere the base layer and designer paper to the card base.
Stamp the monkey stamp set from Monkey Antics on X-Press It Blending Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Dye. Color the monkeys using Copic Alcohol Ink Markers - E000, E40, E41, E44, E49, E74 and R20. Make sure to add your shadows and highlights at this stage. Add texture to the monkeys by applying 70% alcohol to a scrap of terry cloth. Pull the little terry cloth fibers out so they will make a great impression. Apply the cloth to the fur for 4 seconds and then lift. Repeat process on the next section of fur. The image will begin to show texture as it dries. Avoid getting impatient and going over the area again until it is completely dry. You will find that it becomes very light and your texture shows when it dries. The image can be cut with the corresponding Die - Monkey Antics Die.
Stamp the leaves - large and small multiple times using the Monkeying Around Cling Stamp set. I used two of each size for my card. Color the leaves with Copic Alcohol Ink Markers - G28, G40, YG61, YG63. Cut the leaves using the corresponding Monkeying Around Die Set.
Adhere the leaves behind the monkey using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive. The focal image was popped up with dimensional dots.
