Watch this video https://youtu.be/Z8P070kC3oo to learn how to create dimensional roses with the Classic Rose Collection.
Instructions: Cut the burgundy patterned paper down to 11" x 11". Cut white cardstock to 11.25" x 11.25", and adhere these layers to a full 12" x 12" sheet of chocolate brown cardstock. Cut a piece of the blue striped patterned paper to 7.5" x 7.5" and adhere in the middle of the layout. Cut a strip of the dark green patterned paper that is 4" x 12", add a strip of the striped patterned paper on each long edge, I cut the strips about 1" wide, and once adhered to the back of the green pattern, had about 1/2" showing. Adhere this across the middle of the layout.
Add a 4" piece of patterned border strip to the right hand side of the dark green patterned paper. Find and cut out both cream and brown patterned journal blocks. One I split slightly and had it peeking from the top and bottom of my matted photo. The other, I cut only the corners off and matted them in the light blue patterned paper, then adhered them in the 4 corners of the layout. Cut another strip of the light patterned paper that is 1.5" x 10" and flag the ends Adhere to the layout and add pieces of border strip pattern to the top and bottom of it.
Mat your photo in white, brown and then white again and adhere to the layout using 3D foam tape. Find and cut out the cardinal mini tag, and the blue butterfly. I added burlap string to the mini tag and adhered it just above the matted photo. Add the light blue mini journal block to the right hand side of the photo. Shape the butterfly and adhere it to the right hand side of the matted photo.
Stamp and cut out 1 of the birch treescape. Stamp and cut out 1 of the Blushing Rose Swirls. Stamp and cut out 2 sets of the Classic Rose images. Stamp and cut out 1 cardinal. Add colour to the rose images using daubers and inks. Add colour to the bird and the trees using watercolour pencils. Adhere the trees and bird to the left hand side of the layout using 3D foam tape.
Shape the flowers and assemble them. Add daubs of liquid glue to the middle of each of the flowers and add golden yellow Prills. Let dry. Adhere to the layout in the right bottom corner of the layout. I added my title using a brown journal pen.
