Watch this video to learn how to create and shape the Botanic Orchid flowers.

Instructions: Card measures 8.25" x 4". Cut a panel of green background paper 8" x 3 7/8". Distress the edges and adhere to the card base. Cut a panel of blue background paper 7 7/8" x 3 3/4". Distress the edges and adhere to the green background. Tear some sections of pale green background paper and distress the edges. Adhere to the card base as shown. Die cut a Botanic Window from white cardstock. Adhere to the left of the card base so that the die cut forms a slightly concave shape.

Stamp and die cut a series of small orchid petals. Use Distress crayon in pink, orange and yellow, on the petal tips, then blend with a water brush. Scrunch the petals and allow to dry, then carefully unfold and layer together the three petal sections. Apply glass glitter to the petals. Colour the rounded petals in the same manner, and scrunch, but don’t unfold. Layer several together for some and leave some single. Adhere stamens to the centre of each of the flowers. Adhere the largest flower to the left of the window, and a smaller full flower to the right. Die cut a series of Leafy branch leaves from green background paper. Tuck under the two main flowers in several places. Adhere the smaller scrunched flowers over the leaves. Die cut two small birds from the pre-printed images page. Shape the wings, and adhere to either side of the window using foam dots. Cut a sentiment strip from patterned paper and shape into a banner. Adhere over the window and to the right side of the card. Apply pink paint dots to random areas of the foliage.
