Instructions: To create this 6" x 6" easel card, start by taking a piece of white card stock 12" x 6" and score at the 6" and 9" marks. Fold and using a die from the Petite Ovals Large set, cut an oval out centered on the edge of the card stock where in half measures 6" x 3". Next, die cut the Eyelet Oval die out of pink card stock. (I cut this a couple of times as it tends to need multiple die cuts for added strength.)
The Berry Blossom flowers were stamped on white cardstock with Versamark, heat embossed with Pink Peony Embossing Powder and cut with the matching die. Shape Berry Blossom flowers with Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit, make some single and some double blooms and add yellow Mini Prills to centers to finish. The Beehive image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and distressed with Fossilized Amber Distressed Ink before die cutting it out using the matching die and accenting it with Black Stickles. Finally the picket fence image from the Sweet As Honey Cling Stamp set was stamped on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with distressed markers after die cutting it out with matching die.
To make the beehive appear suspended, loop string through the one of the loops in the eyelet oval die cut and then sandwich on the back with another die cut. Only glue the eyelet oval dies together halfway down and then glue the bottom halves to each side of the card. Once your beehive is hung, layer on a few of the Blooming Berries Cling Stamp Set images which were stamped in Tuxedo Black, colored with distressed markers and then die cut using the matching dies. The sentiment stamp was cut from the Paper collection and adhered to bottom easel panel. To allow the card to stay upright, add a die cut from the Regal Borders and Pockets Die out of paper from the Berry Cafe Paper Collection topped with a flower!
