Owl Step Card Scene
Other products: Prima Chalk Ink: Vintage Pink, Spectrum Aqua: Meadow, Sunset, Purple, Evergreen, Moss, Blossom and Chestnut, Foam Tape, white card stock, watercolor paintbrush, distress ink: peeled paint
Instructions: Create your base side step card using this tutorial: Side Step Card Tutorial: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/sidestepcard/. I cut out a white base card and then another with the designer paper. This will give more stability for the card to stand up. Ink the edges of the card with the Prima Ink. Stamp the tree, swing, three owls, sugar hollow tree and single owl using the memento ink and cut out all the images with the coordinating dies. Color the leaves of the tree with the peeled paint ink. The rest of the images color in with the Spectrum Aqua markers and watercolor brush and water. Color a bit of the ink out on a work mat or even a stamp block and then dilute with water. Do a light wash on all the owls and then go back in with darker color to shade and highlight. Mold the leaves of the tree and the owls with the flower shaping tool and then attach all the images as shown on the step card creating your own scene. Cut out the sentiment from the paper collection and ink the edges with the prima ink and attach with foam tape.
