Instructions: To create the 12" x 12" scrapbook page layout, distress the cardstock edges of a sheet of lakeshore blue cardstock. (To distress cardstock or paper, rough up the edges with a distressing tool or sharp scissors, and then rub the cardstock or paper edges with Vintage Photo distress ink. Distress ALL paper and cardstock edges for this project.) Trim cream paper from the Countryside Evening Paper Collection to 11 1/2" x 11 1/2". Use a "torn notebook" edge punch to punch the paper edges in several. Attach the cream paper to the center of the blue cardstock. Trim the "Let the Good Times Roll" border from the Once Upon a Time Paper Collection. Distress the edges and attach the border at the top of the page, approximately 1" from the top edge, using foam adhesive. Trim postcard collage paper from the Celebrate the Journey Paper Collection to 9" x 5". Mat the collage paper with lakeshore blue. Attach the collage panel to the left side of the page layout, approximately 1 1/2" from the left edge and 1 1/2" from the top edge. Trim grid paper from the Celebrate the Journey Paper Collection into two pieces, each 2" x 5". Mat both pieces with lakeshore blue cardstock. Attach one panel 2 1/2" from the left edge of the postcard collage paper and 1/2" from the top of the collage paper. Attach the second piece of grid paper 2 1/2" from the left edge of the postcard collage paper and 1 1/4" from the bottom edge of the collage paper. Trim a section of the blue "Enjoy the Journey" paper from the Celebrate the Journey Paper Collection to 5 1/2" x 7 1/2". Mat with lakeshore blue cardstock. Attach to the right edge of the page layout, approximately 1" from the right edge and 2 3/4" from the top edge.
Use the Tag die from the Luggage and Tags Die Set to trim a tag from the Once Upon a Time Paper Collection. Use tan paper with text background for the tag. Trim a second tag from All Geared Up Paper Collection, making sure to use a grid-style paper. Trim the All Geared Up tag slightly smaller then the first tag. Tie black twine through the holes of the tags. Attach the tags to the page layout, approximately 2 1/4" from the right edge and 2 1/2" from the top edge. Overlap the tags as shown. Mat the photo (sized approximately 4 1/4" x 3 1/2") three times, with blue cardstock, with cream paper from the Countryside Evening Paper Collection, and then with black cardstock. Using foam adhesive, attach the photo to the page layout, 4 1/2" from the left edge and 3 1/4" from the top edge.
Attach a ticket sentiment, trimmed from the Once Upon A Time Collection, to the top right side of the photo as shown. Tuck a wood button at the top left edge of the photo. Tuck a second wood button on the right side of the layout, where the tags and papers meet. Using black chalkboard paint, color chipboard letters to spell "laugh often". Glue the letters to the bottom right section of the layout as shown.
To create the flowers, stamp the Tattered Blossoms images several times, with black dye ink, onto lakeshore blue cardstock. Use the Tattered Blossoms dies to cut out the flowers. Color the flowers with Weathered Wood distress ink, mist with water, and shape. Glue flowers together to form four blooms. Add a center to each bloom by creating flowers using the Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms die templates. Ink each flower center with Weathered Wood and Black Soot distress ink. Using Picket Fence distress paint, add paint to the flowers. Arrange flowers on the page layout as shown. Stamp the Open Leaf images onto olive cardstock with black ink. Cut the leaves with the Classic Leaf Dies. Ink the edges of the leaves with Vintage Photo distress ink, mist with water, and shape. Snip the leaves apart, touch with white paint, and add to the flowers as shown. Tuck a few items into the flower clusters, such as a light bulb, epoxy brads, and a vintage bottle cap.
