Key To Happiness Gift Box

Other products: Various keys, Ribbon, Cameo metal lock, flat back pearls, Brads, stickles, Wood wax

Instructions: I decided to make a little box this week, it is 4 inches wide by 2 inches high. I cut strips of paper to fit and stuck it all down then sanded back all the edges to give it that aged appearance. I then rubbed all the edges with first a dark brown wax then a gold colour and polished it to a shine. I added ribbon around the lid edge of the box and added flat back metal pearls around the middle of the ribbon. I die cut some of the sweet juliet flowers and make them up wih a brad in the centre. I stuck my lock and keys to the edges and sides of the boxKey To Happiness Gift Box & stamped out my image in brown on one of my die cuts and the other I cut so that just part of it was showing and I wrapped it down in front of the box like a clasp to close it with. I used Distress ink and more wax on each of those and attached them to the box, I then began sticking my leaves and flowers on to the lid. I made a bow from seam binding and added my cameo to the centre. Lastly I added a little stickles to the dark parts of the flowers for just a little sparkle. Thank you so much for coming to visit our works of art for you. Best wishes Kim xx
