Instructions: To view a larger photo of this project, click here. Size is approximately 7 X 7”. Paint all corners of the box top to match roof (with gray paint) also paint the trim and house colors in case paper doesn't cover completely (with white and or light green). Add more heavy chipboard to base for a driveway and paint gray. Paint grass area green.
Cover bottom half of box with light green decorative paper from the Flowering Dogwood paper collection after scoring every half inch and sponging with Shabby Shutters ink, cover and bottom 1" with white linen embossed with a brick embossing folder, then sponge with Worn Lipstick Distress ink and Soft Gray Ink. Cover chimney with brick embossed cardstock as well.
Make window frames using two smallest square dies from Spellbinders Square Nestibilities and add lace to window openings trimming to fit inside. Make the door and frame using two rectangle dies from Spellbinders nesting rectangles, (I had to shorten both outside and inside by about 1/2" to make it the right size). Make a set of stairs with white paper and Fun Foam.
Die cut the border trim X 4 from white cardstock and glue pieces to top of house box bottom then die cut "trellis with Window Box Elements die, and cut it in half. Die cut large vine X 2 from the Cut Mat Create 2A from white cardstock, color using New Sprout ink. Punch out three small butterflies using punch. Stamp leaves in Bamboo Leaves ink, flowers in black ink and die cut with coordinating dies. Sponge color on the leaves and flowers (New Sprout and Bamboo Leaves for the leaves, Wilted Violet for the flowers). Form flowers using the deluxe flower shaping kit (some flowers are closed to resemble buds). Stamp, die cut and color car and banner using black ink on white cardstock (Copic markers to color for these). Die cut several layers of car from chipboard to strengthen car and add acetate at the bottom folding it in two and gluing half under the "yard" part of the chipboard base.
Box Top: Paint roof gray and add darker gray dry brushed strokes for tiles. Cover house surface with light green (to match) card stock. Cut several pieces of 1/8" white linen cardstock for trim at bottom of box top, chimney top and for roof line. Die cut and miter border trim from white cardstock for the dormers. Add pearls to cover seams where needed.
Final steps: glue plants and trellis to house base, add prills as flowers. Add brad for door knob (I cut off the legs of the brad and used tacky glue to secure).
