Instructions: Cut white card base to 8 x 6" size, score and fold at 4 1/2" to create 4 1/2 x 6" base. Using from the HCD1-7161 Sweetheart Borders die, cut the border outline from the front flap of card base. Diecut 2 matching size border outlines from a striped pattern and green paper within the Peony paper collection. Diecut the Sweetheart border from white cardstock. Using the largest eyelet circle from the HCD1-7154 Eyelet Circle & Basics Small and the 2nd largest from HCD1-7155 Circle Basics Large, diecut a circle frame from white cardstock.
Sponge inside edges of card base, eyelet circle and border outlines with Magenta Hue ink. Attach eyelet circle onto front flap, then attach green border outline to match card base. Layer striped pattern border outline a little offset from the green layer. Dab dries clear glue to a sponge and apply over sweetheart border, then sprinkle with Rajni's Crystal Clear. Cut a narrow border strip from the paper collection to 5" length and attach onto backside of sweetheart border. Attach sweetheart border onto card.
Stamp the peony petal set of 2, twice from HCPC-3820 Large Sweet Peony stamp set in Pink Peony ink onto white cardstock and diecut with coordinating die. Stamp the 2 of the largest leaf and 1 of the 2nd largest leaf from same stamp set in Fern Green onto white cardstock and diecut with coordinating dies. Stamp the Happy Birthday banner from HCPC-3801 Simply Classic in Magenta Hue onto white cardstock and diecut with coordinating die.
Use the Stack and Store daubers along with the following inks to color. On both sides of the peony petals, use a soft touch of Vibrant Fuchsia ink, shading darker on the inside and light on the edge. Follow up with a highlight of the Magenta Hue ink. On the unstamped side of petals, swipe the Dove Blender from center to edge to finish the look. For the leaves, use Fern Green and Vivid Chartreuse ink. Use a soft touch of Vivid Chartreuse on banner.
Use the Floral Basics shaping mold to shape petals or simply shape with shaping stylus. If using the shaping mold, place the petals stamped side up into the mold and mist with water. Assemble the peony into flower form. Shape the leaves and banner with stylus. Attach onto card as pictured, arranging the leaves and then the peony on top. Cut banner in half and attach as shown.
