Instructions: The card base is
6x6" in white cardstock. Cut a piece of red patterned paper that is
6x6". Cut a piece of light blue patterned paper that is 1.5 x 6".
Adhere these 2 layers together and add the silver mini brads. Adhere this to
the card base. Find the 6x6" version of the check background patterned
paper. Cut off the black check portion of the pattern. Mat what remains in a
wide border of black cardstock. Adhere to the card using 3D foam squares. Find
and cut out the red mini journal block, and the "Forever Young" banner. Adhere
these both to the middle of the card using 3D foam squares.
Stamp the "Happy Birthday" banner
and the airplane using black Archival Ink on white cardstock. I added colour to
the banner using Seaglass Teal ink and a waterbrush. Adhere this to the top
left hand corner of the card using 3D foam squares. I added colour to the
airplane using Chameleon Pens (RD4, BR2, BR5, CG8). I used a 5 second fuse on
the main panels of the plane with Crimson Red, this gives a slight highlight to
emulate shine. I used an 8 second fuse with Hot Cocoa on the wings, and using
Bark added colour to the edges. I also used both browns on the propellor.
To finish I used the Spectrum Noir
Sparkle pen to add shine to the entire image. Adhere the image to the card
using 3D foam squares. Inside I used a piece of light patterned paper and added
my sentiment using black Archival Ink.
