Instructions: To view a close up of this home click here. Cut out gray board the following sizes: Back 8 x 8 1/2", side 8 x 8 1/2", side 8 x 8 1/2", front 5 x 8", floor bottom 9 x 9", floor inside 8 x 5", stairs (use pattern listed on my blog), and strips of 1/2". Connect the side panels to the back & front panel with construction strips (1 x 8 1/2" ). For the small side panel I cut out a opening that is 4 3/4 x 4", in the back panel I cut out 2 windows of 1 3/4 x 2 1/4". In the right side panel there is another window in this size. Mark on the inside of the for panels a line of 5" high, put construction strips on them and then you connect the whole house together. On the construction strips you can glue the inside bottom.

Now glue the whole house on the bottom plate, cut out the stairs (see pattern on my blog) and make strips of 1/2 x 2 1/2" and lay them on top and front of the stairs, for the stair rail I put some strips on the sides and then on top I put 2 small dowels, you can decide how long and high you want to make it.

On top of the porch I glued 1 thicker dowel and on top 9 smaller ones. I also made a door 3 x 5" and some panels on the front and the small side. Now you can paint the whole house with Gesso, 2 layers. Allow to dry. Using a stencil add a stones effect on the outside & inside of the wall with a stencil and some texture paste, let dry.

Diecut 6 windows on white cardstock. Trim off the top part on 3 of them and cut clear cardstock, adhere to the back of these 3 windows. Add some glue and sprinkle with Frosting Powder around the windows as shown and heat set. Adhere these windows on the inside of the project the other 3 windows are going on the outside adding Frosting Powder to those as well. Distress building using Vintage Photo distress ink and water. Now you can add your lights where you want them and I put some green pipe cleaners around the house and stair rail.

Diecut two Arch Medallions from white cardstock and two Arch Medallion Outline from Clear cardstock, adhere together using Dries Clear Glue. Adhere to porch to appear as a railing. Die cut Lamp Post from designer paper using coordinating die along porch railing. Stamp holly images in black ink and die cut. Color using Stack and Store Daubers and the following inks: New Sprout, Bamboo Leaves, and Lady Bug Red. Shape the stamped images using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Sponge Dries clear glue onto stamped images as desired and sprinkle with Frosting Powder, heat set.

Finally decorate the house with everything at your own taste. I made tiny wreaths using pipe cleaners, adding red ribbon bows and trimmed the green tree using string pearls. I also found some tiny treasures, like the dog and the boots. Visit my blog for more information.
