Let's get crafting!
Step one: Start by die cutting 9 borders from white cardstock using the Delicate Border Basics Die, Classic Border Basics Die & Fleur Border Basics Die to match the foldout cards used. Adhere these on one 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and two 6"x 6" White Foldout Cards. Decorate these using the Sweet Peony Paper Collection. TIP: Watch this video here https://youtu.be/3_DoCqo7W-Y for tips to cut your papers to cover the cards.
Step two: Use a line of Designer Dries Clear Adhesive on the edges of the foldouts to make pockets for tags and photo-mats as shown.
Step three: Take one of the 6"x 6" White Foldout Cards ( All of the 3 foldouts have been made into pockets for this insert) and adhere it to the hinge for cover on the 6" x 6" White Layered Circles Card as shown.
Step four: Cut a piece of 6" x 6" white cardstock and adhere it to the back of Foldout Card to make the cover sturdy & hide the hinge joint.
Step five: Take 2 pieces of 6" x 6" white cardstock & mat them with patterned paper from the same collection.
Take 2 pieces of white cardstock and die cut them using the dies from Gift Of Love Box Die.
Take a piece of Vellum Paper and glue the die cuts aligning them with 1 edge and leaving a little space in between them. Trim the Vellum Paper around the edges so that there is a thin border around the 3 sides which we will fold with the help of a ruler and bone folder as shown. Top Tip: Using vellum in this way has 2 benefits - It adds strength to delicate die cuts while making pockets & it also mutes the patterns below it so that the die cuts stands out more without clashing with the prints. Vellum is translucent so the glue & edge will show through it so to avoid this issue trim the tabs so that it hides behind the white cardstock border of the die cut.
Step six: Apply a thin line of Designer Dries Clear Adhesive on the 3 tabs that we created and adhere them down as shown to make a pocket. Glue the page to the album hinge in the same way as we did for the cover.
Step seven: Similarly make another pocket for the next page but make this one L shaped pocket by gluing only 2 tabs ( 1 bottom & 1 side tab). Use the cage die from Sweet Lilac Scroll & Cage Die & Vellum Paper to make this pocket. Top Tip: This is a great way to stretch your dies & get more uses out of them while making your projects more beautiful without putting in much effort.
Step eight: Die cut 2 pieces of swirls & 1 piece of the Eyelet Circle from white cardstock using the dies from Arianna Lace Die & Eyelet Circle and Basics Small Dies and adhere them on the next page to create a photomat.
Step nine: Use the eyelet heart from Eyelet Hearts Die & white cardstock to make the photomat for next page
Step ten: Next page is made using 6"x 6" White Foldout Card. I have made 2 pockets & one flap in this one. I have used the borders made in step one & 2 die cut borders made with the die from Border Essentials Die to decorate this page.
Step eleven: I have used a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" White Foldout Card for the back cover. This time also I made 2 pockets so that both the pockets are inside the flap that opens. Top Tip : The Fold out cards are very versatile. I have assembled them in 3 different ways in this album to get completely different looks.
Step tweleve: Use the Luggage and Tags Die to cut out the tags from the paper collection and the same number of white cardstock tags. Adhere the white tags behind the printed tags to make them sturdy. Thread pieces of twine through the holes to complete the tags.
Step thirteen: Make some 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" photomats using white cardstock and the card fronts from the same paper collection.
Step fourteen: Use the square shadow box from White Card Shadow Box Set for the cover. Cover it with the pattern paper. Use the square die from Cut Mat Create 2A Die to make the hole in the center of the pattern paper. Die cut 2 pieces of white cardstock using the decorative die from the same die set & adhere them as shown. Now assemble the shadow box and adhere it on the album cover. Top Tip: Decorating the shadow box with pattern paper is easier if you do it before assembling the box.
Step fifteen: Stamp the lilacs from Lush Lilac Cling Stamp Set using Cactus Flower and Forget-Me-Not Archival Ink on white cardstock. Die cut them using matching die from Lush Lilac Die. Color them with Cactus Flower Archival Ink and Forget-Me-Not Archival Ink using Stack and Store Daubers. Shape them using Lush Lilac Shaping Mold and Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Top Tip: See how to shape the Lush Lilacs in this video here https://youtu.be/KDbdzC0MnAI.
Step sixteen: Stamp the flowers from Small Camelia Carnation Cling Stamp Set using Rose Madder Archival Ink Pad and die cut them using matching dies from Small Camelia Carnation Die. Color them with the same ink using Stack and Store Daubers. Shape them using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Top Tip: See how to shape the Camelia Carnation flowers in this video here https://youtu.be/rhk76SAIgWQ.
Step seventeen: Add the pink stamens from Small Pastel Pearl Stamen to the lilac centers & green stamens from Small Rock Candy Stamens to the carnation centers.
Step eighteen: Stamp the fairy image & the Lilacs images from Wildwood Cottage Darlings Cling Stamp Set, Lush Lilac Cling Stamp Set & Lush Lilac & Umbrella Spray Cling Stamp Set on watercolor cardstock using Jet Black Archival Ink. Color them using Koi waterbrush & Gansaitambi watercolors. Die cut them using matching dies from Wildwood Cottage Darlings Die, Lush Lilac Die & Lush Lilac & Umbrella Spray Die.
Step nineteen: Adhere the fairy image using Double Dots 100pc. -3D Foam Circles or Darice Adhesive Foam Strips inside the Shadow Box as shown. Adhere the Lilacs image on top of the Shadow Box as shown. Arrange and adhere the flowers as shown. Make few ladybugs using Ebony Black and Red Berry Nuvo Crystal Drops and glue them to the flower arrangement using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive. Add some dew drops to the flower arrangement with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops. Add green rhinestones to the sides of the shadow box to add finishing touch.
