Let's get started and have some crafty fun with this tutorial from designer Karan Gerber.
Adhere the Circle Layered Card together.
Cut 10 papers 6" x 6" to fit all the pages including front cover and back of cover.
Cut a 3" x 6"piece of paper in coordinating colors for the spine and score at 1" on each end. Attach this to the spine of the album.
Adhere all your papers. Yes we are covering up the circle part of the layered card to create a mini album.
Take the 6" x 6" Shadow Box Card and ink the top and outside edges with shaded lilac distress ink. Cut a panel for the inside of the box which measures 5" x 5".
Adhere the box together. Cut two tags from collection, mat wuth white card and attach brads. Ink the edges and attach them to the top and back of the shadow box and attach this to the front of the mini album as shown.
Stamp and cut all your elements using archival ink on water color paper. Including the wildwood florals; classic vine; the two fairies from the collection; the umbrella; all the elements from the Singing in the rain collection; the elements from the wildwood cottage collection. And cut out 4 fleur borders for the pages to tuck in the A2 panels.
Cut the fairy house from the wildwood cottage set and run through your die cutting machine using a brick template. Lightly ink the edges with shaded lilac distress ink.
Shape your flowers in the 3D Rose Shaping Mold. You can watch this video HERE for some fabulous tips from Emma Lou using the molds.
On the scenic papers selected for the album, fussy cut out a second image from a second panel in the collection and place this on some of the pages in the album, Images below will show what the inside of the album looks like.
Karan designed this album so that you can attach photos of your flower garden along with the flower fairies. To do this cut out 6 x A2 panels and mat these with white card. Use these as photo mats for inside the album; you can also add flowers and details to the panels.
For added detail use the Crystal Clear powder to detail the flowers and stamens for the centers.
Have fun making mini albums for your loved ones with the Layered Cards. We LOVE to see what you make, share your projects with us on our Facebook page HERE.
