"I have encountered what seems to me a magical world of creativity and I'm simply in love I hope to learn from all of you thanks for the opportunity." - Maria Alvarez

Let's have some crafty fun together!

Step 1: Using the Regal Frame and Accents Die set die cut two of the large outer die in pink card and four more of the same die in white card.

Next die cut four of the decorative frames from the same set in white card. In addition die cut two pink mat layers from the Ornamental Tags Die set and two of the Gift for You sentiment from white cardstock.

Step 2: To create the base and top of the box adhere two of the white die cuts together and then one pink on top. You will have three layers adhered together to create dimension! Repeat this so that you have two pieces.

Next, adhere two of the white decorative Regal frames together and adhere to the pink side of the previous piece we adhered together. Adhere the other frame in the same way, creating two panels. Repeat the same process with the ornamental tags.

TOP TIP: Adhering two die cuts together gives dimension to a project.

Step 3: To make the box , cut heavy card stock measuring 7 inches by 9 inches and 7 1/8th inch by 9 1/8 th inch . The smaller piece makes the base of the box and the bigger piece makes the lid . Score both the card stock pieces in this manner . Score the piece at 2" mark. Rotate once clock wise and score again . Do this so that there is 2 inch mark on all four sides. Repeat this with bigger card stock , marking at 2" and then rotating clockwise and marking again at 2". Cut out a triangle slot as shown . And fold in and secure to make the box .

Cut between the score lines as the picture above to make slits on the box. Fold along the score lines to make the base and the lid. Adhere the sides with dries clear glue.

Top Tip: Strips of the same card stock can be added to the sides and base of the box to make it sturdy.

Step 4: Adhere the box base to the frame panel with adhesive. TOP TIP: If you place something heavy inside this will hold down the box base while the adhesive dries.

Next adhere the second frame panel to the top of the box on the back side of the die cut.

Step 5:
Cut out an oval label from the Regal Frame and Accents Die set. Score at 1/8 inch intervals on the scoring board. Distress the edges of the box, the label and the ornamental tag with Plum Archival ink .

Step 6: Adhere the die cuts to the top of the box using foam dots as shown in the picture above.

Step 7: Stamp the Small Sweet Peony flowers in Pink Peony Archival ink and Colour with Plum and Pink Peony ink using sponge daubers. Stamp the Leaves in Fern Green and colour with Leaf green ink. Cut with matching die and give shape with Groove golf tools.

Assemble three flowers together, offsetting the petals. Make a hole in the centre with pointed golf tool and insert white assorted stamens.

Step 8: Arrange the flowers and leaves on the top and side of the box and add the finishing touch by adhereing glitter onto the flowers and leaves. Smaller blossoms or other filler flowers can also be added.

Top Tip: A bow of white satin ribbon adds to the beauty of the box.

What a beautiful box, and is certainly a gift in itself without putting anything in it. It would be nice lined with some pink satin,to finish off the elegance. I will be making this one :)

Anita Thank you so much for this tutorial! the box is beautiful. I do have a question though. The bottom of the box comes out perfect. The lid I am having trouble with. The sides of the box are not aligning properly. Then as I kept measuring, I changed measurements to 7 1/8 and 9 1/8 and scored at 2 all around to get lid to fit box. I am wondering if its a typo in case others need help or I am doing something wrong. Thank you for your inspiration! I love the tutorials. The box I did was already claimed by a friend:)
