Christmas Card Tutorial

Let's get crafting!

Directions:

Step 1: To create the card base, cut a piece of white card 8 1/2 x 11”  and fold at 5 1/2” on the long side. Place the largest Eyelet Rectangle & Basics Die just above the folded edge and diecut. Cut another single rectangle from the paper collection and adhere it to the base of card.

Top Tip: When diecutting through multiple layers of cardstock, run through the diecutting machine several times, rotating slightly each time.

Step 2: Cut a piece of paper from the Candlelit Christmas Paper Collection using the Intricate Swirl Frames Die, cutting the  frame and inner swirl.Step 3: Using a piece of paper from the Candlelit Christmas Paper Collection and a piece of white cardstock die cut the Starry Night Decorative Die and adhere the two diecuts together, slightly offset. Next adhere this to the top of card, adhering the Intricate Swirls frame over this using 3D Darice Foam Strips for dimension.

Die cut the  Festive Holiday Die in white card and place onto the Swirl frame at the bottom right of the card.Step 4: To Create the pine needles, stamp the Snowy Pine Village Cling Stamp Set with Ranger Archival Ink Pad – Coffee, and color using  Ranger Archival Ink - Leaf Green. Die cut the images using the coordinating dies. Sponge the petals with dries clear adhesive and sprinkle with Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear glitter.

Step 5: Stamp the holly clusters onto white cardstock using Ranger Archival Ink Pad - Leaf Green from Glow of Christmas Cling Stamp Set. Color using the same ink and die cut using the coordinating dies. Sponge the petals with dries clear adhesive and sprinkle with Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear glitter.

Step 6: To create the flowers, stamp the Christmas Poinsettia & Holly Cling Stamp Set on white cardstock with Jet Black Archival ink and die cut using the coordinating dies. Colour the poinsettias with StazOn Black Cherry using a sponge dauber. You will need three petals for each flower, using assorted sizes.

Step 7: After colouring, place the flowers and leaves into the mold face down and run through cutting/embossing machine. Sponge the petals with dries clear adhesive and sprinkle with Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear glitter. Pierce the center and glue in some stamens using hot glue gun.

Top Tip: You can mold up to three layers at a time in the Heartfelt Creations molds.

Top Tip: Always add a little hot glue to the bottom of the flowers to secure stamens.
