Let's get crafting!

Directions:

Step 1: Create a simple layered background. The sunset patterned paper is the full 12 x 12” background. Cut a piece of blue patterned paper that is 3 x 12” and adhere up the right-hand side of the layout. Find and cut out the green patterned border. Cut 2 strips of yellow patterned paper that are 1.5 x 12” and tear one long edge of each. Then cut a piece of green patterned paper that is 2 x 12”. Adhere these layers to the bottom of the layout. Cut a strip of yellow patterned paper that is 05. x 12” and adhere along the top of the layout using foam tape. Create a double mat for the 4 x 6” photo using white cardstock and adhere to the left hand side of the layout, using foam tape between the layers.

Step 2: Using the Rounded Scallop Window Die, cut the largest from dark brown cardstock. Using the Rounded Window Frame Die, cut the second largest from kraft cardstock. Adhere these together. Then, using the largest die from the Large Circle Dies, cut a hole in the middle of the die cut pieces. I then hand cut a piece of white cardstock to fit in behind the frame to create a background in the next step.

Step 3: Stamp and die cut the Counrtyside Cottage and the small hedge from white cardstock using brown Staz On Ink. I added color to the image using Zig Clean Color Markers and a water brush. Roof - Mid Brown, Brown, Mustard; Windows - Cobalt Blue; Door M - Carmine Red, Brown; Walls - Light Grey, Mid Grey; Door - Mustard, Bright Yellow; Hedge- Olive Green.

Step 4: Using the hand cut white cardstock piece for your background. Use Distress Oxide Inks to blend a sky at the top (Tumbled Glass, Broken China). Then cut a piece of green patterned paper for the bottom “lawn”. Adhere the cottage to the background using foam squares and then add the die cut frame using another layer of foam squares. This creates the small Counrtyside Cottage Vignette. I added the hedge in front of the chimney using Thin 3D Foam Squares. Trim away any of the cottage that peeks outside of the die cut frame.

Step 5: Cut a strip of the flowery patterned paper that is 6 x 0.75” and a strip of the red patterned paper that is 5.5 x 0.5”. Adhere these to the background above the vignette.

Step 6: Find and die cut out the small and large tag using the Ticket and Tags Die. Add a burlap string bow to both and adhere them above the photo mats.

Step 7: Stamp and die cut the flower pots using brown Staz On ink on white cardstock. Add color to the images using Zig Clean Color markers and a waterbrush. Pot 1 - Deep Green, Mustard; Pot 2 - Olive Green, Bright Yellow, Brown.

Adhere the pots to the left of the cottage vignette.

Step 8: Find and cut out the yellow mini journal block and add word stickers to create the beginning of the layout title. Adhere below the matted photo using foam squares. Finish the title using chipboard letter stickers.

Step 9:Stamp and die cut 1 of the small sunflowers, and 3 of the pointy leaves using brown ink onto white cardstock. Add color using Zig Clean Color Markers and a water brush: Pointy Leaves - Bright Yellow; Sunflower - Olive Green, Bright Yellow, Brown.

Step 10:You will use the other 2 pointy leaves here. Also stamp 1 large sunflower (snip off the stem), 1 ivy leaf, and 1 cardinal using brown ink onto white cardstock. Add color to the images using Zig Clean Color Markers. Sunflower - Bright Yellow, Brown; Ivy Leaves - Carmine Red, Bright Yellow; Cardinal - Mustard, Bright Yellow, Carmine Red.

Shape the sunflower slightly and then add brown Prills to the middle using liquid adhesive. Let dry completely.Snip apart the ivy leaves. Create a cluster in the bottom right-hand corner of the vignette.
