Our Crafters Say:

"What can I say.. I love everything about Heartfelt Creations! When I give a Heartfelt Creation card to someone, they just uh and ah over them. You make me look like I'm a professional! I love the videos too!" - Beverly V

"I have encountered what seems to me a magical world of creativity and I'm simply in love I hope to learn from all of you thanks for the opportunity." - Maria Alvarez

Let's get crafting!

Directions:

Step 1: Die cut four card bases using the Eyelet Rectangle & Basics Die set with folded white cardstock. Make sure you use 5" x 7", 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", 3" x 4", 2" x 3" dies and place the folded white card close to the shorter edge of the die to create the card.

Step 2: Die cut paper from the paper collection using the following dies from the Eyelet Rectangle & Basics Die set: 4 pieces using the 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" rectangle die, 2 pieces using the 4" x 5 1/4" rectangle die, 2 pieces using the 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" rectangle die and 2 pieces using the 1 3/4" x 2 3/4" die.

Step 3: Take the 4" x 5 1/4", 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" and 1 3/4" x 2 3/4" dies of the Eyelet Rectangle & Basics Die set, line them up centrally on the largest pattern paper and run them through your die cutting machine.

Step 4: Open and place the 5" x 7" card base horizontally and adhere the lace and then the patterned paper to the left side. Next adhere the larger frame on the right side. Adhere 2 pieces inside the card base and start adhering the next card base on the center of the card front. Adhere the frame and patterned paper inside the base. Repeat the process until you adhere all the card bases, pattern papers and frames. Put the finished album aside to let it dry completely and start making the box.

Top Tip: In the Candlelit Christmas Paper Collection you can find many elements which can be used to decorate the album.

Step 5: To create a box for this album - cut out a 9 3/8" x 7 3/8" and a 11 1/4" x 9 1/4" piece of white card. Score the larger piece at 2", 9 1/4" (long side up) rotate and score again at 2" and 7 1/4" (short side up). Score the other piece at 1", 8 3/8" (long side up), rotate and score again at 1" and 6 3/8" (short side up). Fold using a bone folder along the score lines then create the tabs using scissors as shown.

Take the larger piece and cut off two corner squares at both ends of the longer side.

Step 6: Adjust the size of the side of the lid to match the longer side of the box base then connect the lid with the base.

Step 7: Cut out following pieces from the paper collection: 4 pieces 7/8" x 5 1/4", 2 pieces 7/8" x 7 1/4", 2 pieces 5 1/4" x 7 1/4", 4 pieces 1 7/8" x 7 1/8", 4 pieces 1 7/8" x 5 1/8" and 1 piece 5 1/8" x 7 1/8".

Step 8: Adhere the patterned paper pieces to the outside of the box. Assemble the box and then adhere the rest of the pieces inside the box. Cut out a 4" x 6" decorative panel from paper collection and adhere it to the top of the lid.

Step 9: Die cut the following pieces of the Eyelet Rectangle & Basics Die set: 1 piece 3" x 4" and 1 piece 2" x 3" from paper collection then 3,5" x 4,5" and 2,5" x 3,5" from silver foil paper. Adhere the pattern paper pieces to the eyelet rectangles then stack and adhere them inside of the box lid using 3D foam dots.

Step 10: Using the Christmas Poinsettia & Holly Cling Stamp Set, stamp flower images with Manganese Blue Ink and the holly leaves with Jet Black Archival Ink. Colour in the flowers with Manganese Blue and Vivid Chartreuse Archival Inks and then colour in the leaves with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink using daubers.

Step 11: Die cut flowers and holly leaves with the coordinating die and shape them with the 3D Christmas Poinsettia Shaping Mold. Tip the flowers and leaves from the mold and let them dry completely.

Top Tip: You can shape even three layers in one go! Add the first layer and spritz it with water, place the second layer over the first one and spritz it. Do the same with the third layer. Place the top over the base of the mold and run it through your die cutting machine.

Step 12: Assemble the poinsettia flower petals using a hot glue gun and make sure to offset them. Use a paper piercer to make a hole in the middle of each flower with stamens in the centre. Add a little hot glue underneath the flower to secure the stamens. Using a sponge add Designer Dries Clear Adhesive to the flower petals and sprinkle them with Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear Glitter.

Step 13: Adhere flowers inside of the box as shown. Fill the composition in with holly leaves.

TOP TIP: The lid of the box isn't decorated to make it easy to post. If your are giving this by hand then it would be wonderful to add decorations to the top too!

Have fun creating a special photo box too! We love to see what you create too, share your projects with us on our Facebook page here https://www.facebook.com/HeartfeltCreations
