Let's get crafting!
Directions:
Step 1: Take a 6” x 6” Swing Fold Card and decorate the card base with the Friendship Rose Paper Collection.
♥ Using the largest Round Sunlight Window Die cut a circle from black cardstock and attach to the first panel.
♥ From sheet 4A cut a 6 x 6” square and attach to center square.
♥ From sheet 2B cut a 6 x 6” square and attach to the third panel.
Step 2: Cut a second 6” x 6” piece from sheet 2B and attach to center panel on the back. The second photo shows the 3 panels when closed.
Step 3: Diecutting.
♥ Using the Elegant Hearts Centerpiece Die Set, cut 1 decoriative die from Luxe Silver Cardstock and 1 from white cardstock using the largest and smallest dies taped together.
♥ Using the same die set, cut 1 black cardstock octagon with the second largest die.
♥ Using the Simple Centerpiece Die set, cut 1 octagon from sheet 4B.
♥ Using the Decorative Heart Die set, cut 1 from Luxe Silver Cardstock and 1 from white cardstock.
♥ Using the Oval Filigree Frame Die set, cut 1 Luxe Silver Cardstock and 1 white cardstock.
Step 4: Assemble the die cuts.
♥ Using Dries Clear Adhesive, layer each of the white dies on top of the Luxe Silver dies and slightly off set each of them to create a silver layer beneath.
♥ For the first panel (card front) adhere the patterned octagon to the back of the decorative focal die. Then glue the black octagon to the front center of the piece. Lastly attach to the front panel of the card base.
♥ For the center panel glue the white heart to the card base and glue in the Luxe Silver center heart.
♥ Stamp a sentiment from the Friendship Sentiments Cling Stamp Set with Rose Madder Archival Ink onto the last die cut and glue in place on the third panel as shown.
Step 5: Heat emboss on vellum.
♥ Prepare Rajni Chawla’s Flowerite Vellum with an anti-static tool.
♥ Stamp the heart and rose images from the Friendship Rose Heart Stamp Set with VersaColor White Pigment Ink.
♥ Sprinkle with white embossing powder and tap off using a tidy tray and/or a coffee filter for easy clean up.
♥ Heat set with a heat gun.
Step 6: Color the EZ Way!
♥ Simply turn over the vellum images and using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers color in the images on the backside for an effortless yet elegant look each and every time.
♥ Once colored, die cut with coordinating dies.
♥ Cut a second die cut from white card stock.
♥ Using Dries Clear Glue adhere the vellum to the white card stock securely. This step will give both strength and will give the colors some extra POP!
♥ TOP TIP: When working with vellum don’t be afraid to use more bold colors, especially when coloring on the back. This goes for coloring with both markers or ink pads and daubers. The opaqueness of the paper dulls the colors so darker colors show more muted. Go dark for more color!!!
Step 7: Add glitter!
♥ Using the metal tip of the Dries Clear Glue add tiny dots of glue over where the small dots are embossed on the large heart.
♥ Sprinkle with Baby’s Breath Transparent Glitter and shake off.
♥ Do this step a second time for extra dimension. Then allow to dry.
Step 8: Add the vellum roses.
♥ Using Double Dot 3D Adhesive, attach the large vellum heart to the first panel.
♥ Use smaller 3D foam dots to adhere the small vellum rose to the heart.
Step 9: Create a sentiment.
♥ Stamp a sentiment from the Just For You Sentiments Cling Stamp set onto a piece of white cardstock.
♥ Use the Ticket and Tags die set to cut out the stamped image first lining up the right side as shown, then by lining up the left side and running the die through the die cut machine a second time.
♥ Glue the sentiment to the front of the card.
