Let's get crafting!
Step 1: Cut a piece of colored or white cardstock size 9 1/4” x 7 1/2 “ for the shadow box. Keep it horizontal and score at 1/2”, 1 1/4”, 8”, 9 1/4”, turn it vertically and score at 1/2”, 1 1/4“, 6 1/4” and 7”.
Step 2: Cut the corners and fold the score lines. Glue the pattern paper from the Cascading Petals paper collection inside the box and glue the sides to make the shadow box. You can stamp a sentiment or paste a picture in the center.
Step 3: Cut two pieces of cardstock size 6 3/4” x 5”, one for the box front and the other for the slider pocket. Take one piece and glue a pattern paper cut the same size on it, now secure the oval frame die from the royal elegance frame die set in the centre and run it through the die cutting machine. Now adhere this piece with the frame window on top of the prepared shadow box and cover the outer sides of the shadow box with pattern paper.
Step 4: Now take the other piece of the cardstock to make the slider pocket. Mark 1 cm on both sides and align the large pocket die from the decorative pocket accents die set and cut on both sides.
Now cut a strip of thin cover plastic to fit in the pocket and glue the ends of the plastic with double sided tape. Cut another long piece of double-sided tape and glue it right above the place where the plastic ends meet.
Step 5: Cut two more pieces of cardstock size 6” by 4 3/4” for the slider cards and mat the pattern papers on the cardstock. Cut a few decorative pockets from the decorative pocket accents die set and glue on the sides of the cards from the back.
Now adhere the straight end of the card on the left side right above the tape, flip it over and glue the other card on the right side with the pattern paper side facing the front. Now check a couple of times if the slider works smoothly.
Step 6: Add foam tape on the sides of the slider pocket without interrupting the slider movement. Now take another piece of cardstock size 9 1/4” by 5” and score at 1”, 1 1/4”, 8” and 8 1/4” to create the back cover. Fold the score lines and cover the back side with pattern paper. Remove the backing from the foam tape and adhere the prepared slider card inside the cover. Apply glue on the folding edges and adhere it behind the prepared shadow box.
Step 7: Stamp the wisteria petals with Memento sweet plum on the deluxe flower shaping cardstock. Color the petals with three different colors - memento elderberry, sweet plum and lulu lavender. Cut using the coordinating die.
Shape the petals on the shaping mat using a groove golf tool, shape the petals closing inwards to create the hanging wisteria cluster and shape the petals opening outwards to create tiny flowers.
Step 8: Cut a small triangle from cardstock and glue the closed wisteria petals in descending order beginning with the darkest color, creating a color gradient. Fill in any visible gaps in the cluster by gluing more petals over it.
Add prills to the center of the open flowers.
Step 9: Stamp the images from the cascading wisteria cling stamp set with archival fern green, color the images with coloring markers and cut them using the coordinating dies.
Step 10: Arrange and adhere the cut images on top of the shadow box and adhere the flowers over them. Lastly, dust the flowers and leaves with the Crystal clear glitter powder.
Step 11: To create the back stand take a piece of cardstock size 2” by 9” and score at 2 1/2”, 6”, 6 1/2”, 7”, 7 1/2”, 8”, 8 1/2” and 9”. Fold the score lines and adhere it on the back as shown. And It’s ready!
