Let's get crafting!
Step 1: Take white cardstock size 12 x 10”, score at 3” and 6” on the 12” side and score at 3” and 7” on the 10” side. Snip as shown to create a box.
Step 2: Cut patterned paper (2 pieces each) from the Wild Rose paper Collection HCDP1-2113 in the following sizes: 3.875 x 2.875”, 5.875 x 2.875” (cut this size in two different patterns) for the sides of the box and 5.875 x 3.875” for the base of the box.
Adhere these patterned papers to the box on all four sides – both outside and inside. Basic box is ready. We can now decorate.
Step 3: The Courtyard Elegance Die HCD1-7283 is a set of 7 different dies. Use the square die along with the inner intricate square die to cut two large squares from white card stock. Fold these squares in half and glue on the box side (half viewable from outside and other half viewable on the inside). Cut four circular intricate dies (from the same set) from white card stock.
Using the long die with the eyelet edges from the Ticket and Tags Die collection, cut two times from white card stock and adhere together. Cut patterned paper two times using inside die from this same set and adhere patterned paper on top and bottom of eyelet strip. This creates the box handle.
Step 4: Using the circular die from the same set, cut 4 circles from patterned paper.
Step 5: Glue the intricate dies on the circular patterned paper. Now adhere each circular section on the box along with the handle. One of the circles would be glued on the box inside, the other would be glued on the outside and then adhered together with handle strip in between.
Step 6: Using the newly released sentiment Elegant Especially for You cling stamp set HCPC-3934 and archival inks Plum and Magenta Hue, stamp the ‘Especially for You’ sentiment on white card stock two times. Cut the stamped sentiments using the coordinating Elegant Especially for you die HCD1-7319.
Cut the mat base from this same set two times and glue the sentiments on the bases. Add glitter to make the sentiments shine. Adhere these ‘Especially for You’ sentiments on the outside front and outside back circular die cuts.
Step 7: Using the same steps as mentioned in Step 6, create ‘Sending you Birthday Love’ sentiment two times, using Ornate Just for You cling stamp set HCPC-3936 with coordinating Ornate Just for You die HCD1-7321.Adhere these on the inside front and back circular diecuts.
Cut two die cuts from Royal Elegance Frames Die HCD2-7307 from white cardstock and stamp sentiment ‘Hope your day is amazing’ from Elaborate Birthday Cling Stamp Set HCPC-3937 and adhere them on the sides of the box.
Step 8: To make the flowers, use the “Large Wild Rose” cling stamp set and “Small Wild Rose” cling stamp set. Stamp the flowers on white cardstock using archival ink – magenta hue and stamp the leaves using archival ink – leaf green. Die cut the petals and leaves using the coordinating dies.
Color the petals using archival inks – sunflower, magenta hue & plum (for the edges). Color the leaves using archival inks – leaf green and magenta hue.
Step 9: Shape the petals and leaves using large and small Wild Rose Shaping Molds. Adhere the petals together to create the wild roses. Add Rose Hip and Rock Candy stamens to the flower centres and sprinkle glitter randomly to finish the wild rose.
Step 10: Adhere the flowers to the box as pictured.
